The Kaleidoscope, in Alliance with HAU PsychSoc and The Nexus, Holds “Kasaup ning Kabiasnan” Outreach Program 🌈✨

The Kaleidoscope, together with the HAU Psychology Society (HAU PsychSoc) and The Nexus, conducted an outreach program titled “Kasaup ning Kabiasnan” for the caretakers and guardians of the learners with special needs (SNEd) currently enrolled at Angeles Elementary School.

The program put much emphasis on the vitality of self-care for caretakers in the ex*****on of their salient roles in caring for their beloved children.

One of the program’s key moments was the talk delivered by Ms. Diane Amor Garcia, RPM, a registered psychometrician and mental health clinician at Argao Psych. A dedicated advocate for mental health and reproductive rights, Ms. Garcia discussed strategies for nurturing emotional well-being, building resilience, and practicing heartfelt compassion in caregiving. She inspired caretakers and guardians to consider their own personal growth and to find a healthy balance between caring for themselves and for others.

Additionally, caretakers and guardians expressed their personal experiences and perspectives on caregiving. Caretakers and guardians participated in a tableau activity designed to allow participants to respond to posed questions in short, creative freeze scenes reflecting their caregiving experiences.

At the end of the program, sensory kits, snacks, and other resources were handed out as tokens of appreciation for their commitment and the very valuable role they play in the lives of children under their care.

Fiestang Kurso: Pathways to an Inclusive Future

What a day at Fiestang Kurso 2025! 🌈

Incoming freshmen students gathered at the Germin G. Nepomuceno Building (GGN) to explore departmental offerings, ask questions, and envision their next chapter. Departments showcased programs, shared academic experiences, and offered guidance to help students choose the path that fits them best. 🪷

As a festive day for learning and connection, the CSC-SED, along with officers of the Reflection and Kaleidoscope, have made the day extra meaningful by guessing some basic sign language in their "Match the Sign" game and a brief introduction of the English Braille alphabet—small steps that build a more welcoming, accessible campus for everyone. 🤟✨

Matagumpay na naisagawa ang ikalawang araw ng “KAWAY-KAWAY: FSL Workshop” ng The Kaleidoscope nitong Oktubre 27, 2025, sa SJH 205 ganap na ala-una ng hapon!

Sa pangunguna nina Bb. Editha C. Peña at G. Jesus Jhuvey D. Guevarra, mas pinagtuunan ng pansin ng mga kalahok ang praktikal na paggamit ng Filipino Sign Language (FSL) — kabilang ang pagsasagawa ng Lupang Hinirang at Panunumpa sa Watawat ng Pilipinas gamit ang senyas. Pinalalim din ang pagtalakay sa mga batas na may kinalaman sa FSL at kung paano ito nagsisilbing daan tungo sa mas inklusibong komunikasyon sa ating lipunan.

Isang makabuluhang hakbang muli tungo sa mas maunawain, inklusibo, at mapagmalasakit na mundo para sa lahat! 🤘🏻💙

Join us in 𝐊𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐮𝐩 𝐍𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐚𝐬𝐧𝐚𝐧, an outreach program dedicated to supporting parents and caretakers of persons with disabilities (PWDs). This event hopes to guide them in finding better ways to care for their loved ones while also reminding them to take care of their own hearts and minds along the way🤝✨

We are honored to have 𝐌𝐬. 𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐞 𝐀𝐦𝐨𝐫 𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐢𝐚, a 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐏𝐬𝐲𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐧 and 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐧 from 𝐀𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐨 𝐏𝐬𝐲𝐜𝐡, as our guest speaker. Ms. Diane will share her insights on mental wellness, resilience, and compassionate caregiving. 🧠💬
