JUST IN ll 13 trainees undergo Orientation Program
To orient about the "DOs and DON'Ts" of the work immersion industry partner, 13 students belonging to the first batch of the trainees of Sto. Niño Integrated School underwent an orientation program at Dynirho Hotel, San Fermin, Cauayan City, Isabela, February 13.
The said orientation is part of the 13-day immersion program of the grade 12 which was a requirement for the grade 12 curriculum.
Hotel rules and regulation, Responsibilities of the trainees, and other important matters relevant to the conduct of the immersion program inside the industry partner were discussed by Myra Castillo, Human Resource Officer.
Ma'am Myra further explained the Responsibilities of the Front Desk Officer; Housekeeping Department; Beans N Syrup Cafe Department; and Kitchen Department.
She also stressed the "Code of Conduct" to the trainees which served as the guiding principle of the students within the duration of their work immersion.
Castillo shared the famous inspirational quote from Mahatma Gandhi, "Live as you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever" as she ended her topics.
Meanwhile, Anne Ladores, Front Desk Officer talked on the Filipino Brand of Service Excellence, setting the standard in the hospitality industry.
Service Excellence and the 7Ms of Filipino Core Values, GUEST Technique, and The Heart of Service Recovery highlighted her discussion as needed in dealing with the guests.
"Always smile and maintain eye contact. Always ask questions to start a conversation", said Ladores.
Consequently in the afternoon, Jimmy Salvador, team leader of the Housekeeping Department, demonstrated bed making to the trainees. Afterwhich, students were given the task for the bed making demonstration.
The first batch of trainees were deployed starting today and will end on February 25. #
