𝐅𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐓 𝐎𝐅 𝐒𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐓 𝐋𝐎𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐙𝐎 𝐑𝐔𝐈𝐙

As part of their week-long celebration of the Feast of St. Lorenzo Ruiz, the Grade 11 learners of Lyceum de Amulung, Inc., together with their adviser, Ms. Erica Castro, and Assistant Principal, Mr. Jeremeh Jhon Montales, visited the Day-Care Center of Cordova, Amulung, for a meaningful day of fellowship, joy, and service.

The learners spent time with the day-care children through various activities, including games, dancing, and interactive moments that allowed them to build friendships and share happiness with the young learners. Through this simple yet meaningful encounter, the Grade 11 learners were given the opportunity to put into practice the values of compassion, generosity, and service inspired by the life of St. Lorenzo Ruiz.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Child Development Worker of Cordova, Ma'am Sol Maggay, for warmly accompanying and assisting our learners throughout the visit. We also sincerely thank the Barangay Officials of Cordova for welcoming our learners and allowing them to spend time and conduct meaningful activities with the day-care children.

Inspired by St. Lorenzo Ruiz, the Grade 11 learners are reminded that faith is lived not only through prayer and devotion but also through the willingness to share our time, talents, and love with others, especially those in our community.

May the example of St. Lorenzo Ruiz continue to inspire our learners to live with courage, generosity, and a heart willing to serve God and others.

𝐅𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐓 𝐎𝐅 𝐒𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐓 𝐋𝐎𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐙𝐎 𝐑𝐔𝐈𝐙

In celebration of the Feast of St. Lorenzo Ruiz, the Grade 11 learners, together with their adviser, Ms. Erica Castro, began a week-long celebration dedicated to honoring the life, faith, and witness of the first Filipino saint through meaningful activities centered on catechesis, generosity, prayer, and service.

During the flag ceremony, the learners participated in a Quiz Bee as a form of catechesis, giving them an opportunity to learn more about St. Lorenzo Ruiz and his unwavering faith in Christ. Learners were encouraged to move forward when they knew the answer, and those who answered correctly received prizes, making the activity both engaging and formative.

Following the Quiz Bee, the Grade 11 learners proceeded to their classroom and shared goods with fellow learners as an expression of charity and generosity, inspired by the selfless life of St. Lorenzo Ruiz, who remained faithful to Christ and ultimately offered his life for his faith.

The learners also gathered in prayer through the Holy Rosary, reflecting on the importance of prayer and devotion in living a life rooted in faith.

These activities mark only the beginning of the Grade 11 celebration of their class patron saint, with more meaningful activities to be conducted throughout the week as the learners continue to discover the life and virtues of St. Lorenzo Ruiz and find ways to put his example into practice.

Through this celebration, the Grade 11 learners are reminded that honoring a saint goes beyond learning about his life; it is also an invitation to live with courage, generosity, faith, and love in service of God and others.

At Lyceum de Amulung, Inc., we continue to nurture not only academic excellence but also hearts rooted in faith. Through our Saint of the Week Program, we invite every Lycean to learn from the lives of the saints and be inspired to follow Christ in their daily lives.

This week, we honor 𝐒𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐳𝐨 𝐑𝐮𝐢𝐳, the first Filipino saint canonized by the Catholic Church, whose feast is celebrated on 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟴.

His life reminds us of the importance of remaining faithful to Christ, especially in times of difficulty and trial. As a husband, father, worker, and lay Catholic, St. Lorenzo showed that holiness can be lived in the ordinary responsibilities of everyday life. Even when faced with persecution and suffering, he remained steadfast in his faith and chose to give his life rather than deny Christ.

May his example inspire every Lycean to stand firm in faith, remain courageous in difficult moments, fulfill responsibilities with love, and use one's gifts in service of God and others. May we learn from St. Lorenzo to trust God even when the path is difficult and to remain faithful to Christ in both ordinary and extraordinary moments.

Like St. Lorenzo Ruiz, may we strive to live our faith with courage, serve others with humility, love our families, and remain faithful to Christ in all circumstances.

This week, we honor 𝐒𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐏𝐢𝐨 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐚, popularly known as 𝐏𝐚𝐝𝐫𝐞 𝐏𝐢𝐨, whose feast is celebrated on 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟯.

His life reminds us of the power of prayer, the importance of trusting God, and the value of perseverance in times of suffering. Through his priestly ministry, devotion to the Holy Eucharist, dedication to Confession, and compassionate service to those who suffered, St. Pio sought to lead people closer to Christ.

May his example inspire every Lycean to remain faithful in prayer, persevere through difficulties, show compassion to others, and trust in God's plan. May we learn to face our struggles with courage and offer our daily challenges to God with faith and humility.

Like St. Pio, may we strive to deepen our relationship with Christ, seek God's mercy, and become instruments of love and service to others.

Lyceum de Amulung, Inc. held its Term 1 Recognition, Distribution of Report Cards, and Parent-Teacher Conference, bringing together learners, parents, and class advisers in celebrating achievements and strengthening collaboration in the education and formation of our learners.

The activity recognized learners who demonstrated commendable academic performance and positive growth throughout the first term. It also provided an opportunity for class advisers to personally meet with parents and guardians to discuss their children’s academic progress, conduct, strengths, and areas for improvement.

Through this meaningful partnership between the school and the home, we continue to accompany our learners in their journey toward excellence, responsible citizenship, and Christ-centered formation.

May our continued collaboration guide and inspire every learner to grow in Faith, Love, Excellence, Collaboration, and Care for the Environment.

His life reminds us that our struggles and limitations do not determine our worth or our future. Through faith, perseverance, humility, and trust in God, we can overcome difficulties and discover the gifts that God has given us.

Lyceum de Amulung, Inc. conducted its School-Based In-Service Training (INSET) and joined the TASS-wide INSET from September 9 to 11, 2026.

The three-day professional development activity provided faculty members with opportunities to strengthen their knowledge and skills, share best practices, and deepen their understanding of current educational programs, policies, and initiatives.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the TASS Office, headed by our Superintendent, Rev. Fr. Adalbert R. Barut, and our TASS Academic Coordinator, Rev. Fr. Dennis Ordillos, Jr., for their guidance, support, and commitment to the continuing professional growth of our educators.

Through continuous learning and collaboration, Lyceum de Amulung remains committed to strengthening its faculty and providing quality, meaningful, and Christ-centered education to its learners.

Yssabel Enuice T. Segador of Lyceum de Amulung, Inc. secured sixth place in Sports Writing–Filipino during the 2026 Congressional District 3 Schools Press Conference held at Cordova National Agri-Tourism School on September 9, 2026, earning her a spot among the Top 10 winners who will advance to the Division Schools Press Conference in Solana, Cagayan.

Segador’s achievement highlights the growing skills and dedication of Lyceum de Amulung, Inc.’s learner journalists in the field of campus journalism. Her qualification to the division-level competition provides another opportunity to represent the school and demonstrate her skills in sports writing.

Joining Segador in representing the school were five other learner journalists who competed in their respective categories:
