Education Leaders Monitor INSET, Provide Technical Assistance to Teachers

To ensure the continuous professional growth of educators and the effective implementation of curriculum standards, key Department of Education (DepEd) officials conducted a monitoring and evaluation activity during the joint School-Based In-Service Training (INSET) for teachers from Magogod Elementary School and Calamagui Elementary School on September 10 -11, 2026.

The Public Schools District Supervisor (PSDS), Dr. Gilda B . Trinidad along with the Education Program Supervisor (EPS) in Mathematics, Dr. Jecelyn M . De Leon of SDO Cagayan reviewed the session matrix, training schedules, and instructional materials prepared for the multi-day activity. During the desk review, the officials carefully examined the alignment of training topics with current DepEd learning strategies to maximize teacher development.

Beyond standard monitoring, the supervisors provided direct technical assistance to school administrators and teaching staff. They shared constructive feedback on session delivery, offered guidance on integrating functional learning activities, and discussed actionable approaches to address immediate classroom challenges.

The collaborative monitoring visit reinforces the commitment of district officials to support educators, ensuring that the insights gained from the INSET program translate into improved learning outcomes for students.

PSDS Trinidad Conducts Intensive Technical Assistance on Day 1 of the First Term Opening Block
AMULUNG,CAGAYAN — To ensure a smooth, organized, and effective opening of classes, Public Schools District Supervisor (PSDS) Gilda B. Trinidad, PhD, personally monitored the first day of school, providing Technical Assistance (TA) to the school principal and teaching staff of Calamagui Elementary School.
Dr. Trinidad conducted a thorough walkthrough of the school grounds, visiting all classrooms across different grade levels. Her visit focused on ensuring readiness in curriculum implementation, classroom management, and the availability of essential learning resources.
Key Technical Assistance and Monitoring Activities
• Curriculum & Instructional Alignment: Dr. Trinidad sat down with the school principal and met the teachers in their respective classrooms. She offered direct guidance on aligning daily lessons with Department of Education (DepEd) standards, ensuring that learning targets are met from day one.
• Learning Resources and Bulletin Evaluation: She carefully inspected the classrooms' designated subject corners—including English, Filipino, Science, and Good Manners and Right Conduct (GMRC). Dr. Trinidad checked the availability of learning modules and evaluated the instructional bulletin boards to ensure they provide supportive visual aids for the learners.
• Classroom Management and Student Engagement: During her room-to-room visitation, Dr. Trinidad observed Opening Block and gave real-time recommendations on optimizing classroom space, encouraging student participation, and utilizing classroom technology, such as multimedia TVs, instructional materials to enhance the learning experience.
The first day set the tone for the entire school year. Providing direct, on-the-ground technical assistance helped the teachers feel supported and learners received quality instruction right from the start.
Through the collaborative efforts of Dr. Trinidad, the school principal, and the teaching staff, the school successfully welcomed back its students in an orderly, highly motivated, and structurally prepared learning environment. Indeed, it’s a great day for every one! #

May 29, 2026- Day 2 of School -based INSET and Summit with stakeholders yielded to a better and clearer view on the Three- Term School Calendar with the FAQs presented and discussed by Sir Joseph Villaroza, the principal together with the Calamagui ES Training Management Team.
