With the theme, "๐ฟ๐๐๐๐ , ๐ท๐๐ค๐, ๐๐ก ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐: ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐ ๐ ๐๐๐๐ข๐ ๐๐ ๐๐ก ๐ฟ๐๐๐ก๐๐ ๐๐ ๐พ๐๐๐๐๐ข๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ต๐๐ก๐๐๐๐ข๐๐๐ฆ๐๐๐ ๐พ๐๐๐๐ก๐๐๐," Alitagtag Central School (ACS) held its School Intramurals 2026 Opening at the ACS Gymnasium, August 14.
A colorful parade accompanied by the ACS MiniBand served as a fitting prelude to the celebration as each teams, Mighty Red Caballero, Valiant Yellow Gumamela, and Fearless Blue Rose proudly showcased their spirit and enthusiasm for the sporting activities ahead.
The formal program began with an opening prayer, followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem. The gathering then proceeded with the presentation and recognition of the different teams and their respective yells, allowing each group to proudly demonstrate their energy, creativity, and team identity.
Adding more excitement to the celebration was the presentation of the lovely Muses of each teams. The Board of Judges were Mrs. Ma. Katrina A. Dimaunahan, RN, the Alitagtag Sub-Office Nurse, Ms. Mary Grace A. Siscar, Administrative Assistant II and Mr. Jan Paulo C. Alilio, Project Development Officer I.
Additional presentation numbers from Darren Jan P. Mendoza and Zyrish Kean F. Adajar from Grade 6-Matatag, the School Parent-Teacher Association (SPPTA) Officers, ACS Faculty and ACS Non-Teaching Staff further energized the audience and strengthened the sense of community among the school personnel.
One of the highlights of the program was the the lighting of the cauldron, symbolizing the official opening of the sports celebration and the unity of all participating teams. This was followed by the Oath of Sportsmanship, led by a 2025 DAAM delegate, reminding everyone that true victory is measured not only by winning but also by demonstrating respect, discipline, fairness, and camaraderie.
The Oath of Officials was then administered by Mrs. Dezy D. Calanoga, School Sports Coordinator, followed by the announcement of the house rules to ensure the safety, order, and smooth implementation of the various events.
The program concluded with closing remarks from the ACS-SPTA President, Ms. Kate B. Navela followed by the dismissal and preparation for the different sporting events.
The event became even more delightful with the special appearance of Jollibee, who entertained the learners and added a fun and festive atmosphere to the occasion.
The successful opening program reflected the collective effort and support of the school administration, faculty, non-teaching staff, SPTA officers, learners, officials, and other stakeholders. It was a vibrant celebration of sportsmanship, unity, teamwork, discipline, and school spirit, setting the tone for an exciting and meaningful series of athletic competitions.
