The Tiwi Community College (TCC) successfully conducted its NSTP Orientation on July 5, 2026, at the Tiwi Gymnasium introducing them to the program and its purpose.
The program commenced with the Entrance of Colors, led by C/MAJ Andante John Aleen Q. (1CL), accompanied by the beat of C/MAJ Catorce Bherlyn Joy C. (1CL) Civil Military Officer, followed by the Invocation led by C/MAJ Bordeos Clowie O. (1CL) S1 Admin.
The program continued with the Opening Message from Fateh Donoga, NSTP Organization President, who expressed her gratitude to everyone present and shared the significance of the NSTP in developing students into disciplined, responsible, and service-oriented citizens..
The orientation continued with the Presentation of the NSTP Organization Officers, followed by the Orientation Proper for the Literacy Training Service (LTS) and Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS). Students were also given the opportunity to select their preferred class schedules for the semester.
The ROTC Proper officially began with the Welcome Remarks of C/MAJ Corullo Mark Jackson S, who reminded the cadets of one of the program's greatest lessons: "You will learn how to lead yourselves first, before you can lead others."
This was followed by the Presentation of the ROTC Training Staff and Corps Staff, introducing the officers who will guide and mentor the cadets throughout their ROTC training. A discussion on Republic Act No. 7077 (Citizen Armed Force or Armed Forces of the Philippines Reservist Act) was facilitated by SGT Elahjee B. Bragais (PA Res.), providing students with a deeper understanding of the legal foundation, responsibilities, and importance of the reserve force in national defense.
To formally conclude the orientation, SGT John Allan C. Brizuela (PA Res.) delivered the Closing Remarks, encouraging every NSTP student to embrace the values of discipline, leadership, camaraderie, and service as they begin their training.
With the successful conclusion of the NSTP Orientation, a new chapter begins for our students. May this be the first of many steps toward becoming disciplined, responsible, and service-oriented leaders.
