Day 1 Highlights ๐ | School-Based Synchronized Overnight Camp 2025
โจ "Sailing Beyond Horizons: Guiding Girl Scouts Towards Growth & Leadership" โจ
The first day of our School-Based Synchronized Overnight Camp was filled with learning, inspiration, and exciting challenges! The day started with the Opening Program, lead by our esteemed principal, Sir Roy L. Nipas of Camalig National High School, who gave an inspiring message about leadership, teamwork, and the importance of stepping beyond oneโs comfort zone. Our hardworking Troop Leader and Girl Scout Coordinator, Mrs. Marychel A. Namia, also delivered a heartfelt speech encouraging all scouts to be brave, confident, and ready to โsail beyond horizons.โ ๐
After the program, the girls attended an informative Basic First Aid Session facilitated by the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP). The firefighters taught essential first aid skills โ from treating minor wounds to responding during emergencies โ empowering the scouts to act quickly and responsibly when faced with real-life situations. ๐๐ฉน
As night fell, the Campfire Ceremony began, opening with the creative Headdress Presentation where each patrol proudly displayed their handcrafted designs that symbolized unity and scout spirit. The evening continued with patrol talent performances, where scouts showcased their creativity through songs, dances, and skits that brought warmth and joy to everyone gathered around the glowing fire. ๐ฅ๐ญ
The night continued with the lively Carnival Night, where the facilitators prepared three challenging games designed to test the scoutsโ knowledge about the Girl Scout ideals and the lessons they learned from the BFPโs first aid training earlier in the day. Each game pushed the girls to think critically, work together, and apply what they had learned โ proving that fun and learning can go hand in hand. ๐ช๐ซ
Day 1 truly marked an unforgettable beginning โ a day of growth, challenge, leadership, and camaraderie as we continue Sailing Beyond Horizons! โต๐
