Virgin of Carmel High School Virgin of Carmel High School is the premiere sole Catholic High School institution in Tiwi, Albay. It is administered by the Augustinian Recollect Sisters.

Located in the heart of the small town, it is a recognized center for academic competence and religious education. Formerly the Hot Spring's Academy, it now has stood the test of time since it was founded in 1959 and has marked its 50th year or Golden Anniversary last 2009. CHS had been part of the 30+ schools, colleges and communities administered by the AR Sisters across the Philippines. Every two years, student representatives from across the nation gather in a national convention in a chosen school. Now equipped with modern learning technologies, this humble school community continues to progress and produce humble and promising talents. Its complete school and learning facilities proved a great help for the students.Wi-Fi connected, Air-conditioned computer laboratories, wide range of the school library (probably the biggest one in town), science laboratory, Audio Visual Room and so forth.Apparently, the population of this school is of low number (approximtelly 350+) but evidently an advantage to both the students and its educators.
