The School of Criminology of Westmead International School formally held its 1st Ringhop Ceremony for the 4th Year Criminology students, marking a significant milestone in their academic and professional journey.

The ceremony began with the Cross Sword Entrance, followed by the Entrance of Colors, Prayer, and the National Anthem, creating a solemn and respectful atmosphere. The program officially opened with the Opening Remarks delivered by Dr. Marites Manlongat, setting the tone for the event. This was followed by an Inspirational Message from the guest speaker, Dr. Rachel De Chavez, who shared insights on excellence, dedication, and service.

The Significance of the Ringhop was explained by Prof. Joanna Marie Berania-Hernandez, Program Head of the School of Criminology, emphasizing the responsibility and commitment expected of future criminology professionals. The formal Ringhop Ceremony was led by Prof. Joanna Marie Berania-Hernandez, Dr. Marites Manlongat, and Dr. Rachel De Chavez, symbolizing the students’ readiness to move forward.

The event also included the Message of Commitment, administered by Mr. John Cedrick Cepillo, reaffirming the students’ pledge to uphold integrity and service. The ceremony concluded with the Closing Remarks from Prof. Joanna Marie Berania-Hernandez, formally closing the event with a message of encouragement and purpose.

This meaningful ceremony reflects the School’s commitment to guiding its students as they step forward with excellence, responsibility, and dedication to service.

As part of the culmination of SOC Month 2026, the School of Criminology of Westmead International School gathered today, February 25, 2026, for a Thanksgiving Mass to express gratitude for the successful completion of the month-long activities.

This solemn celebration became a moment of reflection, unity, and thanksgiving, honoring the guidance, strength, and collective efforts that made SOC Month 2026 meaningful and memorable.
