๐๐ข๐ข๐: As part of the observance of Fire Prevention Month, students enrolled in the National Service Training Program of Aklan State UniversityโIbajay Campus, particularly from the Reserve Officersโ Training Corps and Civic Welfare Training Service, took part in the Fire Safety Awareness and Prevention Seminar conducted last March 7 at the campusโ Quadrangle.
The activity was organized to enhance studentsโ awareness and understanding of fire prevention, safety precautions, and appropriate emergency response practices, promoting preparedness and helping build a safer and more responsible community.
Serving as resource speakers were SF01 Jed L. Lagon, FO1 Jascer C. Locsin, and FO2 Ruzzel F. Rotao, who shared their knowledge and field experiences on fire safety measures, response protocols, and the proper handling of fire-related incidents. Their discussion provided NSTP students and faculty with practical insights drawn from real-life emergency response situations.
The successful conduct of the activity was the result of the collective efforts of the NSTP faculty headed by Mr. Wilmer Benito, NSTP Chairperson, with instructors Prof. Jerby J. Paderes, Mr. Richard Alonsagay, Mrs. Eva Rose Tala-oc, Mr. Karl Louis Constantino, and Ms. Hannahmae Madriaga, working in coordination with ROTC Instructor Sgt. Joemel F. Pines (RES) (PA).
