Cebolin National High School Conducts Children in Conflict with the Law / Juvenile Justice Conference
Cebolin National High School conducted a Children in Conflict with the Law (CICL) / Juvenile Justice Conferenceon September 16, 2026, at Cebolin National High School, aimed at providing identified learners and their parents with relevant knowledge, guidance, and awareness on juvenile justice, child protection, and responsible decision-making.
The program formally commenced with an opening prayer, followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem. The activity was officially kicked off with a Welcome Address delivered by the School Principal II, Maโam Haide G. Magalona, who emphasized the importance of supporting and guiding learners toward positive choices and responsible behavior.
This was followed by the Statement of Purpose delivered by Maโam LoveLen D. Gastalla which highlighted the objectives of the conference and the importance of equipping learners and parents with appropriate information and support concerning children in conflict with the law.
The conference featured Maโam Jeffony Dahan, MSWDO Officer of Trento, as one of the resource persons. She shared her expertise and valuable insights on Children in Conflict with the Law and Juvenile Justice, providing the identified learners and parents with a better understanding of the issue, their responsibilities, and the importance of rehabilitation and positive intervention.
Also sharing her knowledge and expertise was Maโam Marjorie Narit, a Guidance Counselor Intern from Trento National High School. Her discussion focused on the guidance and support that learners need in making responsible decisions and addressing challenges that may affect their behavior and well-being.
Following the presentations, an open forum was conducted, allowing the learners and parents to raise questions, clarify concerns, and engage in meaningful discussions with the resource persons. This was followed by an insightful reflection shared by selected students and parents, highlighting the lessons and realizations they gained from the conference.
As a gesture of appreciation, Certificates of Recognition were presented to the distinguished resource persons for generously sharing their time, expertise, and valuable insights with the participants.
The program concluded with a meaningful activity designed to reinforce the lessons and realizations gained throughout the conference.
Overall, the activity served as a valuable avenue for promoting awareness, accountability, guidance, and positive change among identified learners, while strengthening the role of the school, parents, and community in supporting children and protecting their rights.
