As the sun set on a day of mental mastery, the spotlight turned to the grand stage where beauty, confidence, and school spirit took center stage at the Mr. and Ms. Intramurals 2025. It was more than just a pageant, it was a celebration of character, grace, and the pride each candidate carried for their house.

With every stride, smile, and answer, our candidates from Houses Stark, Targaryen, Lannister, and Baratheon showed that Raniag’s glow isn’t only in talent and strength, but also in poise and passion. The cheers echoed, the lights dazzled, and the crowd stood in awe as the crowns found their rightful heads.

Truly, the night shimmered with elegance and unity never looked this stunning.

After a high-energy opening day, Day 2 of INTRAMURALS 2025 at Abuyog Community College shifted gears—proving that true strength also lies in strategy, focus, and intellect. The spotlight turned inward as students clashed not in the field, but in the arena of the mind.

From the rapid-fire intensity of Word Factory, to the calculated moves of Chess, and the vocabulary showdowns in Scrabble, each game was a test of wit, patience, and brilliance. House representatives from Stark, Targaryen, Lannister, and Baratheon showcased that Raniag’s light doesn’t only shine on the court—it glows in every thoughtful decision, clever play, and mental triumph.

Brains battled. Minds met. And through it all, unity and sportsmanship reigned supreme.

The first day of INTRAMURALS 2025 at Abuyog Community College has come to a triumphant close—and what a radiant beginning it was. The grounds came alive with the echoes of cheers, the rhythm of unity, and the unstoppable spirit of every student who proudly carried their house colors.

From the grand opening parade that painted the campus with energy, to the banner raising and team-building events that followed, Day 1 embodied everything Raniag stands for—strength, solidarity, and shared purpose. House Stark, Targaryen, Lannister, and Baratheon each rose to the challenge, not just to win, but to shine together in passion and pride.

This is more than just sports. This is a celebration of identity, teamwork, and the fire that lives in every heart that beats for ACC. And if today is a glimpse of what’s to come, then the next days promise even more brilliance.

What a thrilling and meaningful start it has been as student journalists from across the campus gathered to learn, express, and shine. From insightful talks by passionate speakers to engaging workshops and dynamic activities, Day 1 truly ignited the fire of campus journalism.

The theme, “Youth Ink, Nation Think: The Campus Press in the Times of Political Unrest,” resonated deeply as participants explored the role of student writers in times of national and social change. Today, we didn’t just write — we made our voices count.

As we close the day, we look forward to an even more exciting and inspiring Day 2. Tomorrow, we continue to press forward, write bravely, and lead the change with our words.

In presenting the event rationale, Prof. Alvin Advincula highlighted Ready. Press. Write. Year 3 as more than just a workshop—it is a call to action. With the theme “Youth Ink, Nation Think: The Campus Press in Times of Political Unrest,” he emphasized the role of student journalists as truth-tellers and catalysts for change in a time when facts are threatened and silence is dangerous. This event empowers the youth to write with purpose and lead with truth.

𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲

In his welcome message, Prof. Christopher Gallos reminded participants that campus journalism goes beyond reporting—it is a powerful act of courage and responsibility. With the theme “𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘵𝘩 𝘪𝘯𝘬, 𝘕𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬: 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘊𝘢𝘮𝘱𝘶𝘴 𝘗𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘛𝘪𝘮𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘗𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘜𝘯𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘵,” this year’s event calls on young writers to stand for truth, challenge injustice, and lead with integrity. Let this seminar ignite your passion to write with purpose and make an impact.

𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝗮 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁, 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗹𝗹 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀—𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗲𝘀.

In his heartfelt inspirational message, Dr. Clemelle Montallana reminded campus journalists of the inevitable challenges that come with the path of truth-telling: “When you are a journalist, marami kang kaibigan, pero mas marami kang kalaban.” He encouraged student writers to remain steadfast in their purpose, even when the stakes are high and the opposition louder.

In a time when truth is often contested, his message served as a call to integrity—urging young journalists to write not for approval, but for accountability, and to always stay true to the stories that matter.
