A total of 126 AESian learners and nine (9) school staff actively participated in the First Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) today at 3:30 in the afternoon. The activity aimed to strengthen disaster preparedness and ensure that the school community is well-equipped in responding to earthquake scenarios.

Spearheaded by Sir Bryan James B. Nierves, School DRRM Coordinator, and conducted under the guidance of Officer-In-Charge Dr. Zayra M. Navalta, Master Teacher I, the drill successfully simulated real-time earthquake response procedures.

One of the notable features of this quarter’s drill was the use of the COCOMET, a specially designed protective headgear used to safeguard learners’ heads during earthquake simulations. By wearing the COCOMET, students were able to safely practice movement during the drill while minimizing the risk of injury from falling objects or debris.

During the simulation, learners practiced the standard “Duck, Cover, and Hold” technique—an essential emergency response that significantly reduces the risk of injury during an earthquake. School DRRM officials emphasized the importance of mastering this procedure, noting that knowing how to protect oneself within the first few seconds of ground shaking can save lives.

The school remains dedicated to participating in all NSED activities, ensuring that every AESian learner is equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to stay safe during natural disasters.

Alimosgan ES Successfully Conducts Regional Achievement Test for Grade 6 Learners

Alimosgan, March 3, 2026 — Fifteen Grade 6 learners of Alimosgan Elementary School successfully participated in the Regional Achievement Test (RAT) held on March 3, 2026. The activity was supervised by Sir Bryan James B. Nierves, Testing Coordinator, with support from Ma’am Carol B. Bose, School ICT Coordinator, and their class adviser, Ma’am Memalyn R. Arcega. The smooth conduct of the assessment took place under the guidance of the school’s Officer-In-Charge, Dr. Zayra M. Navalta, Master Teacher I.

To ensure the availability of necessary digital resources, the school utilized three laptops and borrowed five tablets from Quidaoen National High School. The exam was online test.

School personnel ensured that the integrity and security of the examination were strictly madministered in two batches: eight learners took the test in the morning, followed by seven learners in the afternoon.

Due to challenges in internet connectivity within the school campus, the assessment was held first at the School Learning Resources Center Room but transferred to the Abualan Child Development Center Room, a location strategically chosen for its proximity to the area’s Vento Machine, which provided a more stable connection for theaintained throughout the process. The successful administration of the RAT highlighted the collaboration and dedication of the entire AESian teaching force, whose combined efforts contributed greatly to the seamless conduct of the activity.

The Regional Achievement Test plays a vital role in evaluating learners’ readiness and in identifying areas for instructional improvement. By participating in the RAT, learners gain valuable testing experience while the school obtains essential data to further strengthen teaching and learning programs.

AESian Family Spreads Love This Valentine’s Day

The AESian family joyfully celebrated Valentine’s Day with a heartwarming display of gratitude, kindness, and unity across the campus. Learners took the lead in making the day special by preparing thoughtful gifts, handwritten notes, and simple tokens of appreciation for their teachers and friends. These efforts reflected not only creativity but also sincerity, as students expressed thanks for guidance, friendship, and support.

Teachers were touched by the learners’ gestures, which ranged from handmade cards and flowers to sweet messages shared during classes. Friends also exchanged gifts and warm greetings, strengthening bonds and creating a cheerful atmosphere filled with smiles and laughter. The celebration highlighted the AESian spirit of love, respect, and togetherness, reminding everyone that Valentine’s Day is not only about romance but also about appreciation and care for one another.

Valentine’s Day is important to everyone because it reminds us to express love, gratitude, and kindness—values that strengthen relationships, build community, and make everyday life more meaningful.

SELG Election Successfully Held at AES, New Student Leaders Proclaimed

The Supreme Elementary Learner Government (SELG) Election was successfully conducted today at AES, marking another milestone in the school’s commitment to developing responsible and capable young leaders.

The election was spearheaded by Mrs. Memalyn R. Arcega, SELG Adviser, and was formally presided over by Mrs. Julieta B. Buenavista, Chairperson of the Election Committee. The smooth and orderly conduct of the election was made possible through the dedicated support of the AES teaching staff and the invaluable guidance of Dr. Zayra M. Molina, the school catechist, and attended by school administrators, teachers, staff, and learners. The Eucharistic celebration gathered the school community in prayer and reflection, emphasizing unity, gratitude, and faith as essential foundations of the academic journey.

The school Mass highlighted the important role of spiritual activities in schools, serving as a guide for moral values and personal growth among learners. Through the celebration, students were reminded of the importance of faith in shaping responsible, respectful, and caring individuals, while teachers and staff were strengthened in their mission to nurture both the minds and hearts of the young. THIRD QUARTER CULMINATING PROGRAM AND PTA CONFERENCE HELD

The school successfully conducted its Third Quarter Culminating Program and Parents–Teachers Association (PTA) Conference on February 5, 2026, bringing together parents, teachers, and school administrators in a meaningful gathering that highlighted learners’ progress and strengthened home–school partnership.

The conference served as an avenue to discuss important matters concerning the school community. Key agenda included updates on school projects and programs, announcements of upcoming school activities, and a comprehensive report on the academic performance of learners for the third quarter. These discussions allowed parents to stay informed about the school’s direction and their children’s educational standing.

One of the highlights of the event was the Recognition of Academic Achievers, where outstanding learners were acknowledged for their hard work, perseverance, and academic excellence. This was followed by the distribution of report cards (cards-out), giving parents the opportunity to personally review their children’s progress and discuss areas for improvement with teachers.

The program was spearheaded by Ma’am Jovelyn S. Bayubay, School PTA Coordinator, whose leadership ensured the smooth flow and successful implementation of the activity. The event was guided by Dr. Zayra M. Navalta, Master Teacher I and the school Officer-In-Charge, whose support and guidance emphasized the importance of collaboration among all stakeholders in achieving quality education.

During the conference, school officials underscored the importance of parents–teachers conferences in promoting learners’ academic success. Such gatherings strengthen communication between parents and educators, allow early identification of learners’ needs, and encourage shared responsibility in guiding children’s academic and personal development. AESian Learners Join National Toothbrushing Day and National Oral Health Month Celebration

AESian learners actively participated in the National Toothbrushing Day (NTD) and the National Oral Health Month Celebration on February 2, 2026, in support of the nationwide campaign to promote proper oral hygiene and healthy smiles among Filipino children.

The activity was conducted pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 559, s. 2004, which declares February as National Oral Health Month, and in compliance with the Department of Health (DOH) Department Circular No. 2026‑0029. This year’s celebration highlighted the importance of preventive oral healthcare and access to dental services.

With enthusiasm and discipline, the AESian learners took part in the Sabayang Pagsisipilyo, properly demonstrating the correct way of toothbrushing using fluoride toothpaste. Teachers and school personnel supervised the activity to ensure that learners followed the recommended steps and practiced good oral hygiene habits.

The 2026 National Oral Health Month theme, “Tara Na! May Cleaning and Fluoride, San Ka Pa? ,” emphasizes the value of regular dental cleaning, fluoride use, and awareness of the oral health benefits covered by PhilHealth. Through this activity, learners were reminded that maintaining clean and healthy teeth is essential to their overall health and well‑being.

The celebration not only strengthened awareness about oral health but also encouraged learners to make toothbrushing a daily habit at home and in school. AES remains committed to supporting government health programs that contribute to the holistic development of learners and the promotion of lifelong healthy practices.
