The different sections of the Laboratory High School will showcase heartwarming and joyful stories of love, relationships, and connections that will truly make your heart full, even without a Valentine date. Come and watch a celebration of creativity and genuine love through this film fest – grab a partner, or go solo – it doesn’t really matter. See you there! 💗

The Film Festival is also a show of love and support to Ma’am Rona B. Asuncion, our dear former teacher at LHS, with the proceeds from the activity helping her in her greatest battle yet. Let’s shower our love for her by watching a film or two! 😊

Every successful event has a team of devoted officers behind it! We applaud our SciMath Club president, Danica Angel Jimenez, and the whole officer team for their non-stop work to organize captivating activities even with their busy schedules. Your bravery, inventiveness, and devotion to promote a passion for science and math move us!

From brainstorming and getting ready to carrying out and overseeing, our officers have done more than expected to build a welcoming and thought-provoking setting for our members. Their excitement about learning spreads, and their loyalty to the club has no equal.

GET READY FOR LIFTOFF!

We're just getting started, and the excitement is building! Our Sci-Math Friday activities are taking off, and we're thrilled to have you on board!

Grade 10 - Onyx is Bringing the Heat!

Precious Zhyreen Baldermor, a student from Grade 10-Onyx, showcased her exceptional math skills to take home the Quick Math Champion title. Her strategy and speed proved unbeatable in the competition.

The same goes for Kurt Laurence Bobita, who is also from Grade 10-Onyx. Using his categorical knowledge from different subjects, he was declared the Trivia Champion. He exemplified how being interested in broad topics allows you to learn more.

Prinz Sheniel Barerras, also from Grade 10-Onyx, impressed judges with his science expertise to become the Guess the Element Champion. His understanding of complex scientific concepts was notable.

A heartfelt thank you to the Sci-Math Officers for their unwavering dedication and hard work! Special recognition goes to Angel Burton for her invaluable assistance in organizing and supporting President Danica Angel Jimenez. Their tireless efforts before and after the event were instrumental in its resounding success. Together, they led the team, ensuring everything ran smoothly and creating an environment where talent could truly shine.

SciMath Friday: Where Brains Meet Brawn!

Last Friday, the school buzzed with excitement as the SciMath Club hosted a special event showcasing the incredible talents of its members. Students, eager to demonstrate their knowledge and skills, participated in a variety of engaging activities that challenged their minds and sparked their curiosity.

The day was filled with a fast-paced series of challenges:

✨ Quick Math
- In this adrenaline-pumping activity, students faced a barrage of flashcards with mathematical problems. Speed and accuracy were key as students raced to calculate the answers and be the first to recite them, earning valuable points for their team.

✨Trivia Challenge
- The excitement continued with a multi-tiered trivia challenge. Starting with easy questions and gradually increasing in difficulty, students tested their knowledge across various scientific and mathematical domains. Correct answers in the "hard" category earned the most points, rewarding in-depth understanding.

✨Problem-Solving Prowess
- Students put their analytical skills to the test in a series of challenging problem-solving scenarios. Given limited time, they had to dissect complex problems, apply their knowledge, and arrive at the correct solutions.

✨Conversion Conundrum
- This activity demanded precision and attention to detail. Students were presented with a series of units to convert, requiring them to accurately apply conversion factors and demonstrate their understanding of measurement systems.

Friday's event SciMath Club wowed them all!

We fought through rapid math works, trivia games, problem solving and conversion in a competitive spirit. Everyone joined in and not only the members of the clubs. You could really see the fire in their eyes! The excitement in the room and the solving of these problems invited participants to display their amazing skills and their love for science and mathematics. It certainly rattled the room!

It's January 17, 2025 and our lively Sci-Math Club has already started creating waves with the beginning of our much awaited Friday activities. Let's celebrate some outstanding performances and acknowledge today's brilliant winners as we begin this exciting journey together. 📚 🌟

First, let’s shine a spotlight on our outstanding champions! 🏆🎉
Our Quick Math Champion, Reignhard Prince D. Agbusac from the Grade 12 STEM, showed extraordinary speed in solving math problems, earning him the title in the Quick Math category.

Precious Zhyreen Baldemor, our Problem Solving Champion from Grade 10-Onyx, stood out with remarkable analytical skills and keen problem-solving abilities.

Andrei Joyce B. Baruela, our Trivia Champion also from Grade 12 STEM, she used her extensive knowledge of various subjects, securing her place as the Trivia Champion.

Crishen Pearl Balneg, our Conversion Champion is also from Grade 10-Onyx, demonstrated excellent understanding and application of mathematical concepts, leading her to get the title of champion in the Conversion activity.
