SCHOOL MONITORING, EVALUATION AND ADJUSTMENT (SMEA) – 1ST TERM

Malabbaga Elementary School successfully conducted its School Monitoring, Evaluation and Adjustment (SMEA) for the 1st Term today, September 22, 2026.

Led by Sir Anthony L. Paiste, Master Teacher I/OIC, the teaching staff engaged in a meaningful review of the school’s accomplishments, learner performance, and priority concerns. The SMEA provided an opportunity to examine key indicators and identify areas that require appropriate interventions and adjustments.

The monitoring and evaluation focused on the following areas:

🔹 Enrollment
🔹 Mean Percentage Score (MPS) per Learning Area
🔹 Level of Proficiency (LOP)
🔹 Data on Subject Failures for the 1st Term
🔹 Learners at Risk of Dropping Out (LARDOs)
🔹 Physical and Financial Accomplishments
🔹 Issues, Concerns, Gaps, and Problems (ICGPs)
🔹 Education Resources

Through collaborative reflection and data-based discussion, the teachers of Malabbaga ES strengthened their commitment to making informed decisions, addressing identified gaps, and continuously improving the delivery of quality basic education.

SMEA is not just about looking at data-it is about using data to take action, improve practices, and ensure that every learner is given the support they need to succeed.

Malabbaga Elementary School warmly welcomed Ma’am Fernandina B. Lagundino, Public Schools District Supervisor (PSDS), and Dr. Marlene C. Abaoag, Education Program Supervisor (EPS) for Araling Panlipunan, during their visit to the school.

Ma’am Lagundino conducted a classroom observation and provided valuable technical assistance to Ma’am Rosemarie Espiritu, with the presence and support of Sir Anthony L. Paiste, Master Teacher I/OIC. Meanwhile, Dr. Abaoag provided technical assistance to Ma’am Sonia Llavado, focusing on strengthening the delivery of Araling Panlipunan instruction.

The visit served as a meaningful avenue for professional dialogue, reflection, and continuous improvement. The guidance, constructive feedback, and expertise shared by our education leaders inspire our teachers to further enhance their pedagogical practices and provide meaningful, effective, and learner-centered learning experiences.

Malabbaga Elementary School conducted the distribution of feeding provisions to 40 beneficiaries as part of the DepEd Feeding Program, reaffirming our commitment to promoting the health, well-being, and holistic development of our learners. The parents and guardians of the beneficiaries were oriented by our School Head, Sir Anthony L. Paiste, Master Teacher I/OIC, on the purpose and proper implementation of the program. He emphasized the vital role of adequate nutrition in helping learners maintain good health, improve their concentration, participate actively in classroom activities, and perform better academically. Through this initiative, DepEd and Malabbaga Elementary School continue to ensure that every learner receives the nourishment and support they need to learn, grow, and thrive. Malabbaga Elementary School and Benben Elementary School united in a shared endeavor for a meaningful Cluster-Based In-Service Training (INSET) focused on “Enhancing Teachers’ Competence in Alternative Delivery Modalities and Digital Learning.” The training was enriched by the valuable insights and expertise from our resource speakers and facilitators, Sir Anthony L. Paiste, Master Teacher I/OIC of Malabbaga Elementary School, who discussed Creating and Utilizing Google Forms & Google Drive, and Sir Rae Lourence A. Balverde, Master Teacher II/OIC of Benben Elementary School, who shared essential knowledge on Education in Emergencies and Strengthening ADM Leadership: ADM Legal Bases and Flexible Learning Program. The activity was further honored by the presence of our Public Schools District Supervisor, Ma’am Fernandina B. Lagundino, whose support and leadership inspire educators to continually enhance their competence and embrace innovative approaches to teaching and learning. LEARNING CONTINUES, EVEN THROUGH THE STORM!

Despite the class suspension brought by Typhoon Maymay, learning does not have to stop. Teachers continue to prepare and provide Learning Materials to ensure that our learners can continue their educational journey safely from home.

This reminds us that education knows no boundaries not even the challenges brought by unfavorable weather conditions. Through the dedication of our teachers, cooperation of parents, and perseverance of our learners, we keep the flame of learning alive.

More than academic learning, this experience also teaches our children the value of preparedness, resilience, responsibility, and adaptability. In times of uncertainty, we remain ready to respond, adjust, and continue moving forward.

Staff Meeting and Focus Group Discussion (FGD) Conducted at Malabbaga Elementary School - August 3, 2026

From 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM, the teaching force of Malabbaga Elementary School actively participated in a Staff Meeting and Focus Group Discussion (FGD)led by Sir Anthony L. Paiste, Master Teacher I and Officer-in-Charge School Head.

During the staff meeting, Sir Anthony shared the important updates, directives, and key points discussed during the recent Management Committee (MANCOM) Meeting, ensuring that all teachers are well-informed and aligned with the school's goals and current initiatives.

Following the meeting, a Focus Group Discussion (FGD)was conducted to analyze the results of the 1st and 2nd Summative Tests for Term 1. Teachers collaboratively reflected on learners' performance, identified strengths and areas for improvement, and discussed appropriate interventions and strategies to further enhance teaching and learning outcomes.

Through open communication, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making, Malabbaga Elementary School remains committed to promoting quality education and ensuring the academic success of every learner.
