The viewing of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s State of the Nation Address (SONA) gave pupils an opportunity to learn about the current condition of the country and the government's plans for the future. Through the speech, pupils were introduced to topics such as education, health, infrastructure, agriculture, disaster preparedness, and economic development.

They practiced listening critically, asking questions, and expressing their ideas respectfully. This helped strengthen their awareness of civic responsibilities and the importance of staying informed about national issues.
Overall, the SONA viewing served as a meaningful learning experience. It increased pupils' awareness of the country's priorities and encouraged them to become more informed, responsible, and engaged citizens.

📢 NOW ISSUED | DepEd Order No. 019, s. 2026

The Department of Education officially issues DepEd Order No. 019, s. 2026, adopting the CSC-approved Qualification Standards under CSC Resolution No. 2600920 for the positions created pursuant to Republic Act No. 12080, otherwise known as the Basic Education Mental Health and Well-Being Promotion Act.

The Order covers the following related-teaching positions:

✔️ Schools Division Counselor
✔️ School Counselor I–IV
✔️ School Counselor Associate I–V

In addition to the Qualification Standards, the Order provides the official Job Descriptions and Comparative Assessment Criteria, which shall govern the recruitment, selection, appointment, promotion, reclassification, retitling, and other personnel actions involving these positions throughout the Department.

This issuance marks another significant milestone in the implementation of RA No. 12080, strengthening DepEd's commitment to institutionalizing comprehensive, accessible, and learner-centered mental health and well-being services in public basic education.

Despite the challenges brought about by the onset of Typhoon Kiyapo, the spirit of learning remained strong at our school. As heavy rains and unfavorable weather conditiona affected the area, a power interruption also occured during the class hours. However, these obstacles did not stop our dedicated teachers and eager pupils from continuing their lessons.

With resilience and determination, teachers and pupils quickly found brighter and safer areas within the school where natural light was available. Pupils cooperated wholeheartesly as classes resumed in these temporarily learning spaces. Their enthusiasm and commitment to education reflected the true meaning of perseverance and adaptability in the face of adversity.

Together, we prove that no storm is too strong when we are united by our passion for learning.
