Wanepap to have a clean water supply///

I'm pleased to announce that we are the successful applicant of the Luena Foundation's small grant program for Community Water Supply Project. The project will connect water into the Wanepap Community, the primary and high schools, Wanepap TVET center, Wanepap rural health post, Wanepap Community Cultural Center and the Catholic station. Wanepap is one of the densely populated communities in the Lagaip district hosting a number of key services but water has been a major problem disrupting normal operations of the services and livelihoods of the people. I was trying best to seek assistance outside of the country and fortunately the foundation in USA is thrilled to assist given the genuineness of our funding request although the size of the grant is small. The community and schools will meet the self contribution component of the project as water is essential for life. Finally, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the Luena Foundation in USA and also two of my referees especially the PNG National Cultural Commission and UNDP in PNG who provided positive responses to the interview questions regarding my creditability and the community.

My foundation assisted an amputated woman received artificial leg///

An elderly woman went crippled after her violent husband chopped off one of her legs. She struggled with one leg in her strive to live normally. Due to irregular geography coupled with bad weather and given the hostile environment created by clansmen, people with disability are adversely affected. I have sighted her and decided to help with an artificial leg and today she was full of smiles and enjoyed her new artificial leg. She was so thrilled and thankful for the unconditional love.
