Grade 11 students successfully sat for the DAT Test today. We sincerely acknowledge the Provincial Guidance Officer Ms. Monica Imelen for making it to the school despite road constraints to conduct this important assessment.

We just had the Installation of Boards, teachers and students today in the mess hall. Today's word of God was on dedicating our lives to Lord Jesus Christ who gives the water of Life. We had a short and wonderful service conducted by our chaplain Mr. John Yakali and Rev. Ron Rall.

Enga Governor Sir Peter Ipatas concluded his Lagaip District tour today with a visit to Sirunki Lutheran Secondary School, after touring three secondary schools in the district.

Earlier in the day, the Governor visited Wanepop High School and Pilikambi Secondary School. His final stop was Sirunki Lutheran Secondary School, where he was warmly welcomed by a large crowd of students, teachers, and community members.

During his address, Sir Peter strongly discouraged tribal fighting and urged the people to treat one another with respect and unity.

Reflecting on his leadership journey, Sir Peter said he had dedicated the past 18 years to building Enga Provincial Hospital and establishing the Innovative University of Enga.

“I thank the people of Enga for their patience. I have now completed the hospital and the university. My focus will now shift to development at the district level,” he said.

The Governor also outlined major infrastructure plans, including the rehabilitation of key road networks from Tomba to Porgera, Niungu to Kandep, and Wabag to Kompiam. He stated that these road projects would be followed by the installation of power lines along the routes.

Construction of the Lamban Hydro Power Project in Pawas is expected to commence next month. Once completed, the power station will supply electricity to the entire Enga Province.

Sir Peter further announced that he has arranged support programs through the Innovative University of Enga to assist secondary schools in the province.

He also advised the landowners of Sirunki Secondary School to organize themselves in preparation for land payment arrangements. In addition, he pledged his continued support to Sirunki Secondary School in developing it to meet certain standards.

Sir Peter is scheduled to tour Kandep District next Thursday. He said his focus will be on establishing and strengthening district government stations across Enga Province. He plans to concentrate on Kandep and Lagaip districts over the next 12 months leading up to the national election, noting that both districts currently do not have a District Development Authority (DDA).

Morning Assembly today at Sirunki Lutheran Secondary School.

Our Graduation Ceremony begins at 9:30 am this morning in the New Multi Purpose Hall. Graduands, parents and invited guest are asked to be at the Graduation venue before 9:30 am.

This is an Official Announcement to Students, parents and the Public that our graduation will be on the 28th of November 2025 at Sirunki Laek Lutheran Church Area. You are welcome to witness this very important event.

We have had not graduation so far since 2022 due to Tribal fights. We thank God that by His grace, He allowed peace in Sirunki this year. This had paved way for this graduation to come to effect.

Our grade 8 class started their examination today with written expression. They will finish on Thursday.
