MAYOR HON: REPNAI PRESENTS K8,000 TO WARD 6 SEPTEMBER GAMES

Kiunga Town Mayor Hon. Alfred Repnai has presented K8,000.00 to the Kiunga Urban LLG Ward 6 Council to support the September Games held at the Kiunga Hospital Compound.
The financial support was handed over to Ward 6 Councillor Hon. Ben Sula during the games, which brought together young people and community members through sporting activities.
Mayor Repnai used the occasion to encourage young people to stay away from drugs and other harmful social activities, and instead focus on sports, healthy lifestyles, education and positive community activities.
He also acknowledged the organising committee for successfully bringing young people together during the September celebrations.
Looking ahead, Mayor Repnai said he would like to see next year's September Games organised at one central location, allowing people from across Ward 6 to come together and celebrate as one community.
The support from the Mayor is being welcomed as an encouragement to the youths and organisers who continue to use sports as a way of bringing the community together.
Special appreciation to Mayor Hon. Alfred Repnai and the Fly River Provincial Government under Governor Hon. Taboi Awi Yoto for supporting youth activities in Kiunga.
