The Caritas schools run by the Caritas Sisters of Jesus, being part of the Salesian Family Congregation. We are following the teachings and values of Saint John Bosco, who founded the Salesian order with the mission of helping young people, especially those who are poor and vulnerable. The Salesian order has a long history of providing education and vocational training to disadvantaged youth around the world. Caritas Schools of Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea are the example of Caritas Sister of Jesus’s dedication. The Caritas Schools’ ultimate purpose is to provide subsidized high-quality education to contribute and to offer affordable and quality education to those who may not have had access to it otherwise. The Caritas Schools are not just focused on education but also on making a positive impact on the surrounding communities.

🎉 WELCOME TO CARITAS SCHOOLS, FR. PASCUAL CHÁVEZ, SDB! 🎉

What a joy and a blessing it was to welcome Fr. Pascual Chávez, Rector Major Emeritus of the Salesians of Don Bosco and the 9th successor of St. John Bosco! 💛 Caritas Schools opened our doors and our hearts to him, and our young Papua New Guineans proudly took the stage to share their talents through song, dance, and culture. 🎶💃🥁

Fr. Chávez also toured our campus, from the smiling faces in our Primary School 👧🧒, to the skilled hands of our Technical Secondary students 🔧, all the way to the future professionals of Caritas Business College 💼🎓. Every step was filled with warm greetings, bright smiles, and true Salesian spirit. ✨

Once again, Fr. Chávez, a heartfelt welcome to you from the whole Caritas family! 🙏 Thank you for inspiring our students to keep shining. 🌟

12 September 2026 — Hearts turned toward the Sacred Heart of Jesus today! ❤️

The Associates of the Sacred Heart of Jesus gathered for their first recollection of the year, journeying back to the very roots of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus and drawing from Him renewed inspiration on who we are called to be — as a person, as a teacher, and as a Salesian.

Heartfelt thanks to Rev. Fr. Greg Bicomong, SDB, whose reflections stirred our spirits and lit the way for today's recollection.

To the Caritas Sisters of Jesus, thank you for once again feeding our souls and nourishing our spirits with this beautiful day of grace. 🙏

Caritas Schools came alive today, 11th September 2026, as we celebrated PNG's 51st Independence in advance! 🎉 From our Primary learners to our Technical Secondary students and our Business College family, everyone showed up in full force to celebrate its independence through their God-given talents. ✨

The celebration kicked off on a reverent note with a Holy Mass presided over by Rev. Fr. Pedro Sachitula, SDB — grounding the day's festivities in gratitude for our nation. 🙏

And then... the celebration truly came alive! 💃🕺🎶

2026 Caritas Technical Open House and Skills Festival

Caritas Business College and Technical Secondary celebrated its Skills Festival today with the theme "Skills for Life, Innovation for the Future." Students proudly showcased the knowledge, skills, and talents they have gained through their PEC and Technical subjects.

The event opened with a laboratory and workshop tour, followed by the ribbon-cutting ceremony. We were deeply honored by the presence of the Philippine Ambassador, His Excellency Edgar Tomas Auxilian, and the Korean Ambassador, His Excellency Choi Jong Ho. Guests from the hospitality and tourism industries, along with our partner In-Plant Training companies, also joined us for the celebration.

We are especially grateful to Dr. Joyce Jazmin Rayel — Head of Division, Tourism & Hospitality Management, School of Business and Public Policy, and Chairperson of the University Research and Publication Committee, University of Papua New Guinea — our keynote speaker, for her empowering message reminding our students of the importance of competence and character.

20 August 2026 — Members of the Korea-PNG Parliamentary Friendship Association were warmly welcomed by Caritas Schools. Students from Caritas Business College, Technical Secondary, and Primary School showcased their God-given talents, proudly presenting Cultural Dance and Bilas alongside Korean hip-hop and contemporary dance performances for the Korean diplomats.

Members of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea:
Hon. Yoon Sang-hyun, Hon. Kang Dae-sik, Hon. Choi Ki-sang, and Hon. Ko Min-jung.

Accompanied by His Excellency Choi Jung-ho, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Papua New Guinea, and officials of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Papua New Guinea.
