Dear Parents, Guardians, Students, Staff and Stakeholders,

Please be informed that school was called off early today out of respect and sympathy following the passing of the 3-month-old daughter of our Business Studies Teacher, Ms. Dising. 🕊️💔

This is a very difficult and painful time for Ms. Dising and her family. As a school community, we extend our deepest condolences, prayers, and support to her and her loved ones. 🤍🙏🏾
May God grant them strength, comfort, and peace during this time of sorrow.

🏠 Haus Krai Venue:
Ms. Dising’s residence within the school grounds — the first house on the right from the school’s main gate.

Family, friends, staff, students, and community members who wish to pay their respects and offer support are welcome to do so respectfully. 🕯️🙏🏾

📢 **IMPORTANT NOTICE – SCHOOL RESUMPTION UPDATE** 📢

Arawa Secondary School would like to inform all students, parents, and stakeholders that following the official directive from the Department of Education regarding the recent impacts of **Cyclone Maila**, the resumption of Term 2 classes was delayed for one week (13th–17th April 2026).

✅ **School will now officially resume on Monday, 20th April 2026.**

All students are expected to return to school on this date and be ready to continue with Term 2 classes. Teachers have prepared to cover missed lessons, including remedial work where necessary.

⚠️ We encourage:

* Students to travel safely and be mindful of road and weather conditions
* Parents/guardians to ensure students return on time
* Everyone to remain cautious as some areas may still be affected

Let’s work together to ensure a safe and smooth start to the term.
