✨ Resonance Talent Spotlight ✨

We are always thrilled to have our very own Kumu Anthony come home and share his artistry with us and @teoramawspa 🌺

Anthony Waipa Manaois is a teacher, choreographer, musician, and composer devoted to the preservation and education of Polynesian culture and arts. Trained in hula from the age of nine under his mother, Kumu Hula Ruth Nalua Manaois, Anthony’s lifelong journey has been deeply rooted in cultural tradition. By age ten, he expanded his artistry into Tahitian percussion, bridging dance and music from an early age.

At just eighteen, Anthony became Director of Otea Api, leading the group to six consecutive Overall Titles at the San Jose Tahiti Fete. A graduate Kumu Hula (2000), he has since led major cultural tours, directed and co-directed institutions across California and Tahiti, and built award-winning programs through Te Orama at Westlake School for the Performing Arts.

With multiple Overall Titles earned under his leadership and a career spanning generations, Anthony continues to teach, perform, and share Polynesian traditions with pride, respect, and integrity, carrying forward a powerful family legacy alongside his mother and sister, Kumu Hula Katrina Haleemaile deJesus.

Don’t miss Kumu Anthony and Te Orama as we celebrate our 35th anniversary!
