I wrote this song very early one morning, after not having been able to sleep the night before, since I had heard the story of a former priest who lost his child and wife years ago due to tornadoes that took place in southern Mississippi. The event occurred during an early morning, so they died while they were sleeping without being able to escape or get to safety. "Everything was so fast and confusing. I found them already inert among broken bark and magnolia essence. Since that day, I lost my faith."
That story touched me so much that I did not find peace until I finished writing this song.
During those days, unfortunately, my country was going through similar situations. Floods and people losing their homes due to natural disasters. It is incredible how weak and vulnerable we human beings are regardless of where we come from when we are faced with the great power of nature.
In memory of the victims of tornadoes in South U.S. and nature disasters.
