Thanks to our friend Sai Krishna Reddy , there is a tank with a new pair of Betta rubra set up in the lab next to mine. The pair have been in this tank for only one week and bam! Eggs! ❤️

The Tropical Fish Club of Erie County had lots of fun making update flyers for Fish Fest '26 using something called "Artificial Intelligence" to play with the artwork. AI however is not quite ready for full deployment. Randy gave it lots of chances, some working, some not so much. Flip through these images 1-by-1 from first to last. They reveal how AI changed my appearance in the Fish Fest '26 advertisements from the initial announcement to the last update. Watch me evolve before your eyes! Collecting these pics was lots of fun! Thanks Seufert! 😆🤭🤗

How fun was that? And such an honor to give two presentations at Fish Fest '26 for the Tropical Fish Club of Erie County. A very well done day. Tomorrow is day two. Come on out for the bowl show results, the raffle and auction. I'm done speaking (I know, you can all breathe a sigh of relief 😅), but I'll still be hanging out at Fish Fest in the morning. Cheers!

Yesterday was a long day of travel, but thankfully with only minimal delays in transit. Then went for delicious food at a nice diner with huge chairs (I felt like Lily Tomlin's Edith Ann character from Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In) with all these fine folks (and some random people at other tables, two of whom I erased from the pic using AI b/c one was holding a baby who was giving me the stink eye... but why?!? 😂). Can't seem to tag people (Randy, Sabu, Tonya and Martin) this morning... IDK why, so apologies to all.
