Nelson Contreras Escudero, Chilean Viol player, Early Music Ensemble. Aestus Harmonicus was born in 2012 from the musical friendship between Nelson Contreras Escudero and Zofia Kozlik in Milan (Italy). The ensemble begins working with the intention of deepening the instrumental baroque chamber repertoire from all Europe, with particular attention to sonata and trio sonata form. From the beginning, the distinctive character of the ensemble was its international scope, bestowed completely spontaneously by the diversity of origin of all its members, from Chile, Poland, Italy and Japan. The debut of the group took place in 2013 at San Salvatore Monastery in Valcamonica (Italy) within the concert season organized by the Municipal Museum of Bormio, with an all french baroque sonata and triosonata program dedicated, from where the criticism was particularly positive towards maturity and expressiveness performed. Its musical proposal is based primarily on research expressiveness obtained by deploying the entire harmonic-sound range of the ancient instruments: the aim is to "kidnap" the sensitivity of the listeners, forcing them to take part in an imaginary journey through the wealth of baroque sounds.
