The following notice is to inform you that I will no longer be working with TEMA Academy. This is extremely difficult for me because I worked at and sent my children to an award winning math & science academy and was looking forward to training a staff and establishing this exciting program for the Bocas community.
Unfortunately, since moving to Bocas, I have become aware of my partner, Petar Bajic’s, history of very disturbing behavior that persists into the present, as well as his lack of general commitment to the school’s future, and I have a professional and ethical responsibility to warn you.
In short, Petar is emotionally unstable.
He goes into manic rages on almost a weekly basis with little to no self regulation and, in my opinion, he is a possible threat to children. At best, he is just a poor role model and; at worst, his explosive & irrational behaviors could lead to very dangerous outcomes for students. Our babies depend on us to protect them; and as an educator and a parent, I cannot, in good conscience, be a part of any program that could potentially put children in harm’s way. I won’t get into more details here; but I advise anyone who is considering placing their child(ren) in his care to do their due diligence before committing.
I want to humbly thank you all for supporting us as we attempted to build a new school in your community. I have returned to the United States and wish the families of Bocas del Toro the best.
