Lucky 7 for my little big 7 year old who loves all things pink and purple. But I’m the real lucky one to have this beautiful little soul full of wonder, laughter and a sprinkling of sass a part of my everyday life. Happy Birthday sweet girl.

This view from our home in St Maarten is still just as spectacular as when we left it 11 months ago before Hurricane Irma struck last September. Looking out, all I can think of is how lucky we have been to have had a beautiful refuge in the mountains of Panama to breathe and reasses. I have the most wonderful parents who opened their arms and wrapped us up in love. I am blessed with old friends near and far who are like our extended family and new friends made over the course of the year who made our transition a welcoming one. A sister who is always present with love and a husband who kicks ass everyday to keep it together. Irma destroyed a lot and changed a lot of our lives but she also reminded us about the power of friendships, the power of family and the power of the human spirit to get up, brush yourself off and keep moving...and ain’t no Cat 5 that can touch that. 🌀 to
