Step inside the AGS Duqm Science Lab! 🚀 We love seeing our students take charge of their own learning through practical, hands-on experiences.

In their recent science sessions, our students tackled some big chemistry concepts:
🔹 Atomic Bonding: They explored how individual atoms interact, combine, and break apart to synthesize completely new products.
🔹 Lab Safety First: Students put their analytical skills to the test by identifying and decoding essential laboratory safety symbols, ensuring our lab remains a safe environment for discovery! ✅🧪

A big shoutout to our brilliant science department for designing lessons that blend deep academic rigor with practical life skills.

Leading by example! 💚 Our incredible Grade 6 students recently took action for the planet by leading a School Environment Cleanup Campaign!

As part of their Cambridge Global Perspectives Team Project on environmental degradation, the students teamed up to clean the front area of our campus. Their mission? To raise awareness about protecting local ecosystems, conserving natural resources, and promoting healthier living environments.

This campaign proved that simple, hands-on actions can make a massive difference. We are so proud of the teamwork, responsibility, and care our students showed for our school and the planet. 🎒✨

A Historic First for AGS Duqm! ⚓

Our Grade 8 students had the distinct honor of being the first school group ever to visit the Duqm Navy Unit.
From insightful presentations on maritime strategy to an exclusive tour of a naval ship’s control room, it was an unforgettable day of discovery.

A huge thank you to the officers and personnel for their incredible hospitality, the interactive career session, and the warm welcome. Our students left inspired by the technology, discipline, and dedication of the naval team. 🇴🇲

Last Week at AGS: Celebrating Creativity & Growth

We are thrilled to announce our latest Star Award Winners, Specifically honoring those who have demonstrated exceptional creativity and excellent learning habits over the past week.

These students have truly stood out by maintaining their momentum and consistently pushing the boundaries of what they can achieve. This week’s awards celebrate:

Creative Innovation: For students who have displayed incredible imagination and unique problem-solving in their recent projects.

Demonstrating Good Learning: Recognizing those who have shown a blossoming passion for their studies and a dedicated commitment to mastering new skills.

Resilience & Growth: Awarded to students who embody the AGS spirit by consistently pushing the boundaries of their own potential.

Congratulations to our March winners for "Springing into Excellence" and proving that success continues to grow every single day through steady hard work and a positive focus.

In the Grade 2 Maths project, students had fun exploring fractions of a half and a quarter using paper plates. They demonstrated their understanding by visually representing these fractions using the paper plates.

The students also creatively created real-life pictures of food, fruits, and other objects divided into halves and quarters. They used their imagination and artistic skills to design these visuals, showcasing their knowledge of fractions in a fun and engaging way.

Overall, the project was a great success as students were able to apply their learning in a hands-on and creative manner, making fractions come to life with real-life pictures on paper plates.

🧬 Interhouse Science Competition: Grade 5 – Grade 9 🧬

We are so proud of our students who participated in the Science Interhouse Competition organized by our Science Department. The event was a fantastic success, featuring a challenging Science Quiz that tested the wits and knowledge of our budding scientists.

Seeing our students show such deep interest and enthusiasm for STEM subjects is what we strive for at AGS Duqm. Congratulations to the winning houses and all the students who took part!
