OUR STUDENTS STEP ON SITE

Recently, thirteen of our Māori and Pasifika Trades Training (MPTT) Scholarship recipients, studying Level 4 Welding, gained some valuable industry insight through MPTT's Step On Site Programme.

The day began at Programmed's Henderson operation, where learners met senior management, toured the facility and then visited a live project in Blockhouse Bay.

After lunch, the group visited NZ Strong's Auckland Zoo construction project, where construction managers and Auckland Council project managers shared the challenges of delivering a complex project in a live environment, while also showcasing the sustainability initiatives driving the project.

A huge thank you to Programmed and NZ Strong for investing in the next generation of skilled tradespeople and providing such an inspiring learning experience.
