To enrol your child come and meet our awesome team and pick up an enrolment pack! Our Philosophy
Ko te wairua o te tamaiti me te whanau. The Child and Family - Heart of the Matter. Our Centre is built around our local learning community - Tamariki, kaiako, whanau, hapu, iwi. Our vision is to provide high quality early learning childhood care and education that is affordable and accessible for al
l tamariki. We value Te Whaariki Aotearoa Early Childhood Curriculum, it guides and inspires all we do at Three Little Birds. We attach importance, respect and uphold Te Tiriti o Waitangi and ensure our Three Little Birds whanau experience an environment that values and fosters Te Ao Maori. Three Little Birds welcomes values and respects the diversity within our centre whanau regardless of ethnicity, culture, socio-economic status, or gender difference. The wairua of tamariki, kaiako and whanau is nurtured at Three Little Birds. Three Little Birds values the notion of life-long learning for all and we foster this through:
Aroha - Love and Care
Ako - we are all learners and kaiako here
Whakawhanaungatanga - The building and maintaining of relationships
Manaakitanga - mana enhancing/care
Hauora - Whole well-being
Tino rangatiratanga - supporting the tamariki to be confident and competent learners. Through free-play and purposeful teaching the tamariki will learn both independently and alongside their peers and kaiako. We value and practice tuakana - teina and the notion of interdependence. All tamariki will have individual strengths, needs and interests valued and fostered. We believe tamariki learn more positively through the natural world so we offer meaningful connections to Papatuanuku throughout our curriculum. We believe strongly in supporting our whanau and kaiako where we will support whanau and act as advocates, and having a strong commitment to further our kaiako learning.
