As we enter our 5th year at Robins Nest, we are beginning to farewell some of our very first Robins Nest babies as they spread their wings and head off to school 🎒✨

These moments feel extra special (and a little emotional). As a heart-led centre, watching our tamariki grow from their earliest days with us into confident learners has been the greatest privilege.

To our beautiful leaving whānau- thank you for trusting us, growing alongside us, and helping shape the heart of our community from the very beginning ❤️

We look forward to celebrating 5 years this October with all of our past and present Robins Nest whānau ❤️🪺

We are so excited to share that this year we were proud sponsors of Katikati Football Club ⚽️

As a thank you, they have kindly donated a set of footballs for our tamariki - and they are already getting so much joy out of them!

🌧️ Spring Showers = Big Adventures! 🌼

Our tamariki made the most of today’s spring downpour — jumping in puddles, catching raindrops on their hands and faces, and giggling as the water splashed around them. 💦

There’s something so special about watching children embrace nature with such joy and curiosity — exploring, experimenting, and simply being in the moment. 🌈

Sometimes the best learning happens when we follow their lead and embrace the magic of the rain. ☔💚

A couple of our awesome kaiako rolled up their sleeves and gave blood this evening. 🩸💖 Archer got a close-up look at the process and learned how giving back can make a real difference! 🌟

🐑✨ Special visitor alert! ✨🐑
Today we had the sweetest surprise – Bob the lamb came to visit! 💕 He was especially curious about our youngest tamariki, sharing some snuggles and smiles.

We love giving our children opportunities to connect with animals and nature – it’s all part of learning, growing, and nurturing kindness. 🌿💛

One of the things we absolutely love about mixed-age play is watching the magic that happens when our tamariki learn from each other. Our little pēpi is showered with stories, songs, and so much love from her older friends — especially our dinosaur fanatics!
At this rate, she’ll be naming dinos before she can even say her own name!

🌿✨ Papatūānuku is truly amazing! Today, we cracked open some geodes, and it was incredible to see the hidden crystals inside—like little treasures formed over millions of years. A perfect reminder that nature is full of magic, waiting to be discovered! 🔮🌍

Rain or Shine, We Play Outside! ☀️☔️🌿

At Robins Nest, we believe there’s no such thing as bad weather—only bad clothing! Outdoor play is a huge part of our day, no matter the season. Rainy days mean puddle jumping, mud play, and all the fun that comes with exploring nature in all conditions.

Thanks to the generous support of Zespri, we have high-quality wet weather gear for all our little adventurers! So even if tamariki don’t have their own, they’ll always have something to wear, ensuring everyone stays warm, dry, and ready for play.
