Te Kura Roa was born out of a need to reimagine the research, science, and innovation system where mātauranga Māori would be more valued, drawn on, and interwoven into all that we do. This gathering enabled us to share experiences and knowledge, deepen our connections, and plan for the future. We are activated and ready to push forward.

He wānanga a Tai-o-Rongo. He wānanga e whakatupu ana i te tūhonotanga a te tangata ki te ao tūroa mā te mahi kai me te tirotiro ki te taiao me hōna kōrero. Tai-o-Rongo is a taiao based movement. It is a wānanga. It uses tūpuna wisdom to foster reconnection to taiao, mahi kai and weather observation. This is done through the revival of seasonal ceremonies throughout the year to achieve holistic wellness.
