Lollipop follows the story of Molly, a young woman released from prison who struggles to regain custody of her children. When she bumps into her childhood friend Amina, the two women soon realise the potential of joining forces and take destiny into their own hands.

Join us on Wednesday the 27th of May at 11am for a wellness walk along the waterfront! This is an opportunity to take a moment away from the stress of uni to get some fresh air and connect with one another.

Meet outside the VUWFLS office in OGB at 11am, where we will walk to Waitangi park and back to the Best Ugly Bagels location on Featherston Street. Attendees will receive 40% bagels and coffee - you don’t want to miss out! 🥯☕️

From what to wear, to navigating post-uni life, to the unspoken rules of the workplace — this is everything you don’t get taught in lectures.

Hey VUWFLS, This year, in collaboration with the Debating Society, we will be holding a feminist legal debate. The debate will be in teams of two with 30 minutes preparation. That means you will be told what you are debating on the evening - no need to prepare beforehand! 

You must be a VUWFLS member to compete.

Not experienced at debating? No problem - this is a competition perfect for people who are new to debating. We will send out a quick guide on how to debate to all contestants. Also, if you’d like to practice beforehand, the Debating Society have club nights at 6:30pm every Wednesday in KK301 at Kelburn campus, which anyone is welcome to attend! Club nights are super chill and fun (we promise).

Rounds are:
• Preliminary - Thursday May 7th at 5pm
• Finals - Monday May 11th at 5pm
We ask that if you sign up you please be available for these dates and times.

Sign-ups close on Monday the 4th of May.

This March for Endometriosis Awareness Month, VUWFLS is teaming up with EndoWarriors NZ to raise funds and spark conversation.

Next Tuesday we’re hosting a bake sale fundraiser because advocacy can look like a lot of things… including really good baking.
