As at the end of week 6, KJ is still in the lead, but the gap is closing! Will Vic House be able to overtake again?

Week 5 results are in, and KJ has overtaken Vic House as the overall leader in energy savings! Congrats, KJ!

Wondering how we calculate the savings leaderboard? Well wonder no more! Notice that we do our best to adjust for weather, so you won't be penalized for using more energy when there's a nasty cold snap ❄️❄️

The first leaderboard shows KJ has done a great job in Week 3 of the trimester reducing their consumption, but the overall leader in energy savings so far is Vic House! Well done!

You might have been feeling that chill the past few days, and it's tempting to leave the heater blasting all night, but a great way to conserve energy is by chucking on that extra jumper, woolen socks and a warm blanket.

Move over Te Puni and Weir, this year its time for the Terrace halls to compete to conserve energy! Up for grabs is a dessert night for all halls that save 5%, plus all the money you all save will go to charity or towards buying bikes for your hall. Competition starts next week, so watch this space for more info

Between Weir House and Te Puni Village your combined effort has saved 8000 kWh, or enough energy to power an average NZ home for almost 2.5 years! What an amazing effort. I wonder how long that could power one of these super efficient tiny houses?
