🐄 Did you know? 🐑

If your young Calf Club lambs and goats still needs those important midday feeds during the early weeks, they are welcome to come to school!

Our little visitors can rest safely in our petting pen while our tamariki are learning. Then, at lunchtime, students can enjoy giving them plenty of gentle pats, cuddles, and attention.

It's a wonderful way to support our Calf Club families while giving our tamariki the opportunity to care for and interact with these special animals. If you'd like to bring your young animal to school, just let us know.

What an incredible way to finish our school production, Dream On Johnny!

Tonight marked our final performance, and what a fantastic way to celebrate the dedication, courage, and talent of our students. Over the past weeks and months, they have worked tirelessly learning lines, rehearsing songs and dances, gathering props, perfecting costumes, and supporting one another every step of the way. Their commitment and teamwork have been outstanding, and they should all be incredibly proud of what they have achieved.

The arts are such an important part of our curriculum. Through drama, music, dance, and performance, our students develop confidence, creativity, communication skills, resilience, and the ability to work collaboratively. These are lifelong skills that extend far beyond the stage and into every aspect of learning and life.

A huge thank you to our dedicated staff, supportive whaanau, and everyone behind the scenes who gave their time, energy, and encouragement to make this production possible. Most importantly, congratulations to our amazing students. You brought Dream On Johnny to life, and your hard work shone brightly in every performance. We couldn't be prouder of you all!

Congratulations to Year 8 student Isaac Cussen on representing Waipipi School at the Franklin Schools Speech Competition!

Isaac confidently presented his thought-provoking speech, "Has the World Forgotten How to Be Bored?" His message encouraged everyone to reflect on how constantly filling every spare moment with technology may mean we are missing out on the creativity, resilience, problem-solving, and imagination that boredom can inspire.

We are incredibly proud of Isaac for the courage, preparation, and confidence he showed on stage. He represented himself, his whaanau, and our school with pride. Well done, Isaac!

It was wonderful to welcome back former Waipipi School students, Penny and Maddie, who spoke with our Year 8 students about transitioning to Waiuku College.

The girls shared their experiences, offered helpful advice, and answered questions about what students can expect as they begin this exciting next chapter of their schooling journey.

Whaanau, please ask your child for the information pack that was sent home today, as it contains important details about Waiuku College and the transition process.

Last week, our Year 7 and 8 students embarked on an unforgettable five-day Sports Camp experience alongside 7 other local schools. It was a week filled with challenge, competition, teamwork, resilience, determination, and plenty of laughter.
Throughout the week, students stepped outside their comfort zones, tried new activities, discovered strengths they didn't know they had, and supported one another through both successes and setbacks. Whether they were competing for medals, tackling new challenges, navigating team activities, or encouraging their peers from the sidelines, our students represented Waipipi School with pride.
