Whānau Hui – Wednesday 9 September

A friendly reminder that our Whānau Hui discussions are happening on Wednesday 9 September. School will finish at 1.00pm that day to allow time for our hui.

📅 Bookings are now open on HERO, so please jump online and book your preferred time. You should have received our “How To” panui last week with step-by-step instructions for making your booking.

If you are not yet connected to HERO, or you’re having any trouble booking a time slot, please give our office a call and we’ll be more than happy to help.

We look forward to catching up with our whānau!

Yesterday we had a visit from local Holistic Dietitian & Behaviour Coach Kendall North, author of Kai’s Big Food Discovery, along with Chere from Wild Pear Kitchen. Chere use to attend our kura!

Chere & Cheseny from Wildpear Kitchen have kindly donated two copies of Kendall’s book to our kura - thank you so much! We can’t wait to share these with our tamariki. Kendall hopes her book sparks meaningful conversations between children, teachers and caregivers about building a positive relationship with food.

This visit tied in beautifully with our Power Up Day - a programme here at school that helps our tamariki build healthy habits, feel good and have more energy to learn, play and grow! It also connects so naturally with Te Whare Tapa Whā, reminding us that looking after our hauora is about caring for all parts of ourselves - our taha tinana (physical wellbeing), taha hinengaro (mental and emotional wellbeing), taha whānau (family and relationships) and taha wairua (spiritual wellbeing).

A huge thank you to Kendall, Chere & Cheseny for sharing your knowledge, time and aroha with our kura 🧡 Deeply Nourished Dietitian
