Loving our swimming sessions! 🏊‍♀️💦

This week, some of our more experienced swimmers took part in a lifesaving session, while our other swimming lessons were in full swing.

We’re very lucky to have some extra time in the pool to practise, build confidence and have fun! A big shout-out to Just Swim, who look after us so well 💙

🎶 Polyfest Practice! 🌺

Our students have been working hard getting ready for Polyfest on Wednesday 9th September, practising their singing, actions and performance skills. We’re loving seeing their confidence grow as they learn together!

🔬 Science with John! 🪨

Our students have been learning about tectonic plates and different types of rocks with John.

They also carried out a hands-on experiment using acid to test rocks for the presence of carbonate, helping them investigate whether a rock could be a sedimentary rock such as limestone.

Plenty of curiosity, predictions and scientific investigation along the way! 🌏🧪

Is there any better way to learn about fractions than by making pizza? 🍕

Rūma Tūī have been doing exactly that! To wrap up our unit on fractions, we made delicious homemade pizzas and shared them with the rest of the school.

Not only was it a tasty way to learn, but we’re now experts at finding quarters and eighths! 🍕➗ What a fun (and delicious!) way to finish our learning.

We love celebrating the positive things happening in our school! 🌞

Our students have been doing an amazing job living out our PB4L focus: being responsible and remembering to wear their hats. Their collective effort paid off, and they reached their reward goal! 🎉

Our friendly scientist John visited us yesterday to explore the fascinating world of energy and energy transfer.

Students learned how energy moves and changes form — from the powerful momentum of a wrecking ball, to steam boats transforming heat into movement, and fireworks releasing stored energy as brilliant light and sound.

It was an engaging, hands-on session that made big scientific ideas both accessible and exciting for our learners.

Today was an awesome day out exploring art and culture! 🎨🐉

We started the morning at the gallery with Libbi, where everyone let their imaginations loose creating their best monsters!

We then stopped for lunch at Queens Gardens, enjoying some fresh air and a run around before heading over to explore the Chinese Gardens with Rach.

We made beautiful dragon bookmarks inspired by our visit. The lanterns were absolutely stunning and made the whole place feel pretty magical.

Such a fun, creative day together! ✨
