The Te Puke team, whānau and tamariki have joined ‘The Push-Up Challenge’. Together we have committed to take on 2,000 push-ups from 5-27 February to get fit, have fun and push for better mental health in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Every dollar we raise will help the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand improve mental wellbeing across the country by empowering communities, whānau, workplaces, and schools to care for their mental health and build resilience. Feel free to donate via this online link https://www.thepushupchallenge.co.nz/donate?t=68515&a=65
or drop some spare change into the donation jar found in Kindergarten.

Don’t forget to add your name to the leader board, every press up counts!

2,000 push-ups in 23 days, from 5 to 27 February 2026. Get fit, have fun, learn about mental health.

Te Puke Kindergarten would like to offer our community the opportunity to take up an awesome offer.

We are holding a fundraising event on Saturday 14th June with Icon photography. This is to raise funds for our outdoor area.

When was the last time you had whānau/tamariki portraits taken?
Book a sitting for only $15 and receive 1 10 x 13 inch portrait for no extra cost.

Allow Icon to capture your whānau or tamaiti in either black and white or colour. Digital equipment makes it easy to view before the photograph is printed to ensure you are happy with the final result.

Contact us about booking your spot by Monday 9th June.

We had our official ribbon cutting yesterday for our new bathroom.

We invited Tamara whom worked endlessly for the funding to get our bathroom upgraded for our tamaiti. Thank you for your generosity Tamara.

We would also like to say a special thank you to the LIONS FOUNDATION for your generosity in giving us the funding.

And check out our morning tea that one of our Māmā made.

Appreciation post for having amazing whānau that do that little bit extra for our tamaiti.

But first, we would like to thank you all for the beautiful resources that have turned up. Tamariki are still enjoying these so much.

Have you noticed the hole that used to be at the front of Te Puke Kindergarten has now been filled? Thank you to Sarah and Malcolm (Kade's parents), for filling that in for us, and for fixing our chair. Thank you both.

We also have Alice (Frank's mum), who has put her hand up to help with grant applications. This is a huge job so thank you to Alice.

And finally to our families, Thank you all for simply being wonderful. We are truly blessed

We have been loving our visits to Rangiuru School! The school have been kind enough to pick us up and take us on adventures back at school - they have been incredibly warm and inviting and we just love our time there. It has been wonderful to explore a different space, to check out there ngahere and to check out what life at school is all about. Each of our local schools offers something unique and exciting and Rangiuru School hits the mark with their wonderful country atmosphere and all it has to offer.
A huge thanks to Rangiuru School, we love getting out into our community and making these awesome connections! We can't wait to see you next time.

A bit of a delay on this one, but this is a double banger! With a kickstart for our first table from New World Te Puke we are slowly renovating our kai area. We have been able to secure the second with funds from our recent Thermomix raffle, so thank you to all of you who bought or sold tickets. Every wee thing that our community does helps to grow our kindergarten to be the best that it can be for our tamariki.

It's a week of appreciation here at Te Puke Kindergarten, this time for another one of our families. Charlie's dad, Craig, has sourced and delivered some new kiwifruit bins to replace our garden beds! We are so lucky to have the support of all our wonderful families to make kindergarten as awesome as it can be! The humble kiwifruit bin for the win once again in Te Puke!
