Adventure Kids Fiordland is a fun group for neurodiverse children and families to come together to support each other.
We have an (free of cost) exciting session planned with Casey Brown from Grounded Movement Co on the 14th May 3.30pm

Check out what’s new here at Fiordland Kindergarten 🤩 A huge shout out to the Syd Slee Charitable Trust and ASB Local Community Fund for their very generous donations towards our new outdoor PVC patio blinds. As always a big thank you to our Kindergarten community for their fundraising efforts that have helped to get this project across the line. The blinds have created a space that is going to be well utilised as we come into the cooler months. They are going to be a huge asset to our Kindergarten.

Fiordland Kindergarten has morning spaces available for tamariki aged 2-5 years. We use the natural environment to support tamariki learning. There are trees to climb, mud pies to be baked in the mud kitchen and other exciting spaces to explore. We have a Nature Discovery programme that runs on a Wednesday morning for our 10 oldest tamariki. Come meet the kaiako and check out our awesome learning space.

This morning was our annual Easter excursion at Fiordland Kindergarten, we were so lucky to be hosted by Jason, Megan, Esme and Luna at Te Kūwaha Mātauraka. Transported safely by Tracknet we made our way out to the lodge. What a beautiful morning spent exploring the beech forest tracks with a few hidden surprises along the way 🐣. Thanks to all our Kindy community for your support without you all we couldn’t make awesome trips like this happen.

Recently we were excited to learn that Fiordland Kindergarten had won a competition with Future Post for a kitset garden. Ngā tamariki have been busy helping to get it set up ready to plant some winter vegetables. Tamariki at Kindergarten collect all the soft plastic from their lunchboxes. Local college student Zac Marsh picks it up and sends it on to Future Post. It is fantastic for tamariki to see what their recycling can be made into and to gain awareness of sustainability practices. Our local garden centre sells Future Post products so be sure to check them out if you’re looking at different fencing and garden kitset options.

What a great start to 2026 we have had. Tamariki have settled back in with ease and are enjoying catching up with each other and kaiako.
Gardening and water play have been firm favourites other the last two weeks. Tamariki have shared holiday stories and pictures of sunflowers that we were growing over the break. We are excited about the year ahead.
