Lilliput Preschool

Our planter box is all restocked and ready to go for winter! We have lettuce, celery, spring onion, broccoli, cauliflower and silverbeet. So much goodness for our tamariki to help grow and harvest this coming season 🥦 🥬

Today the sandpit looked a little different at Lilliput. Wooden stepping stones, a handbuilt chair, and a reliever who loves to build. Our tamariki had such a blast today!

Autumn is back on the table again today!
So many wonderful things from the world around us that we can turn into art 🎨 🍂

Autumn is taking over our walls at Lilliput and we are here for it. This is just the beginning of our autumn installation, built with real leaves and natural materials 🍂 .

A little bit of magic over Lilliput tonight 🌈

Autumn has well and truly arrived at Lilliput and our tamariki have been making the most of every fallen leaf! 🍂 These gorgeous lion creations and painted wreaths are the result of some beautiful creative exploration last week.

What’s the best activity for a rainy day?? Puddle jumping!! 🌧️

There was so much learning happening in a sandpit!
Today our tamariki explored balance and physics in the most hands-on way. We dug a moat and we were off! Planks, hills, and a whole lot of problem solving. Sand play invites children to test ideas, take risks, and discover what their bodies and minds can do. 💚

This afternoons activity at Lilliput. Did you know that water play is one of the richest learning experiences for young children? 💧
Pouring and filling develops early maths concepts, floating and sinking builds scientific thinking, and the sheer sensory joy of it supports emotional regulation and wellbeing. All of that just in a tub of bubbles. 💚

Our little corner of the world. 🌿💛 Swings, a sandpit, shade sails, water play, and the privilege to use the school field next door for all the green space a curious mind could ever need. This is Lilliput from above! We think it’s pretty special. ✨
