What an incredible opportunity for our Senior Netball Team today!

They were lucky enough to spend time with Waikato Bay Of Plenty Magic Goal Attack and Goal Shoot, Kate Taylor, who put them through their paces with a fantastic training session.

Kate shared some valuable skills, tips, and game insights, while challenging the team to lift their intensity, accuracy, and teamwork. It was wonderful to see them so engaged and inspired by someone they recently watched in action when they travelled together to support the Magic a few weekends ago.

A huge thank you to our amazing coach, Hayley Ericksen and Claire McCracken, for taking the team to watch the Magic play and then going the extra mile to organise this incredible experience for our players. Opportunities like this create lasting memories and inspire our young athletes to dream big.

We know they have come away with new skills, fresh ideas, and plenty of motivation. We can't wait to see them put what they've learned into action on the court this weekend.

Our Fabulous Fridays provide a wonderful opportunity for us to bring learning to life through our localised curriculum.

This term, we have been integrating our school wide theme, Tฤtou i te Ao โ€“ Our Place in the Universe, through experiences in our Bush Classroom, Garden to Table programme, science, and the arts. Tamariki have been exploring how we understand our world by looking beyond it, learning about the connections between the Earth, Moon, Sun, and the patterns we see in our everyday lives.

As we move into the next phase of our learning, our focus is shifting to Matariki. Students have begun exploring the significance of Matariki, learning the meaning behind our waiata, creating Matariki kites, and harvesting produce from our gardens to prepare soup for our Matariki Dinner at the end of term.

It is fantastic to see our tamariki making meaningful connections through learning that is authentic, hands on, and uniquely Rangiuru.

A huge congratulations to all of our Values Certificate recipients from the past month!

At Rangiuru School, we focus on a different school value each fortnight. Our teachers carefully select tamariki who have consistently demonstrated that value through their actions, attitudes, and interactions with others.

We also have a special Student Leadersโ€™ Values Award, where our student leaders choose students they have noticed showing our values in action around the school. It is wonderful to see our tamariki recognising and celebrating the positive behaviours of their peers.

We are incredibly proud of all of our recipients and the way they continue live our values each day. Ka rawe!

๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ Cross Country Season Round Up! ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ

A huge congratulations to all of our amazing cross country runners who placed in our recent Cross Country Colour Run.

We are incredibly proud of all of the students who went on to represent Rangiuru School at the Te Puke Cluster Cross Country. Every one of our runners made us proud with the effort, determination, and resilience they showed on the course. It was fantastic to see our tamariki challenging themselves, supporting one another, and representing our school so positively.

A special congratulations to Zeppelin, who has qualified for the Western Bay of Plenty Cross Country event next week. We wish you all the very best and know you will do Rangiuru proud!

Our Student Council had an incredible day attending the National Young Leaders Conference in Hamilton today!

This yearโ€™s theme, Leaning Into Fear, challenged our young leaders to step outside their comfort zones and embrace challenges with courage. They heard from an inspiring lineup of speakers, including William Pike, Riley Elliott, Lola Fisher, and Graci Kim, who shared powerful stories of resilience, leadership, and making a difference.

We canโ€™t wait to see our Student Council bring their new ideas and inspiration back to Rangiuru!

A HUGE thank you to Barfoot & Thompson Rural and especially James Dudley for generously sponsoring a free sausage sizzle for everyone at our Colour Run Cross Country!

Not only did James kindly provide the sausage sizzle for our community, but he was also the one standing behind the BBQ cooking sausages for the whole crowd! We know that is no small job when you have a hungry bunch of country kids lined up after running hills, paddocks, and colour runs all day!

We are incredibly grateful for the ongoing support shown to our little rural school and community. It is generosity and community spirit like this that helps make these special memory making events possible for our kids.

Thanks so much James! We really appreciate your support of Rangiuru School and our tamariki.

And of courseโ€ฆ no true country school event would be complete without a proper cross country course!

Our tamariki raced through real farm paddocks, and even climbed over a stye along the way! Just good old rural fun, muddy shoes and plenty of determination.
