They are still looking beautiful over a week on. I think the cooler weather is really helping keeping flowers fresh so it’s a perfect time to indulge in some or gift some to others. I have also been changing the water every couple of days which has been helping.

I was quite excited going to the new SPOTLIGHT in Tauriko this week. So many cool homewares things and even party costumes. My girls who love crafting would have a field day in there.
If you can bring art home to trial in your home before purchasing it I would do it for sure. Seeing it within the different lights during the day and at night allows you to choose the best one for your space. .remade allows you to do this

One of my favourite styling tips is to really lean in on the home’s architecture and style when you are choosing your furnishings. A Real Estate Agent asked me the other day if I have one consistent look with my partial staging pieces or if I choose items depending on the home and I definitely do the later.
If it is a 70’s art deco or mid century modern home I choose lots of house plants, funky textured ceramics, house plants and neutrals which a pop of pink and ochre. With coastal homes I choose Hamptons with neutrals and cooler shades. So think about your homes architecture style with your styling choices. The buyer than bought this home loved it so much they wanted the rug as it was a perfect 👌 match!
I’m loving all these beautiful red leaves 🍂 everywhere however they are a lot of work! I’m always reminding my styling consultation clients about sweeping all up their leaves before their open homes at this time of the year. It can be therapeutic and rewarding- especially on fine days like this ☀️

There is something uniquely beautiful about herbs that have gone to seed and the beautiful flowers they produce, I have mixed this with some wildflowers grown in vegetable garden. Such a lovely way to start the year picking flowers and fresh berries with your little one!
