Amazing Race at the Lakefront today 🤗 The children had to use their map reading skills and clue solving abilities to get their teams around a really tricky course! Two hours + of problem solving, team work and racing. Thanks heaps to Liz Savage and her team for organizing this super fun interschool event.
Huge thanks to our parent helpers for transporting the kids and running with their teams! A workout and a half for sure!

This quote from Mrs Klostermann...😍 "Each child is wonderfully unique, with their own gifts, personality and story. Like the instruments in an orchestra, no two are the same, and yet each has an important part to play.

Our role is not to create identical notes, but to help each child discover and develop the gifts God has placed within them. When we allow children to be truly themselves, something beautiful begins to emerge."

Do you remember Ambrose Assen who was one of our awesome kids who moved to Gore?! Well he's carried on his beautiful faith in Jesus and has started his own YouTube Channel called "Ambrose and the Gospel!" The teachers have been using his videos in class as he is such a professional, and shares some beautiful insights into the love of Christ. Go and give him a follow 😄https://www.youtube.com/

Last week, Eden 6 gathered for a special class Matariki liturgy in our school chapel and they planted a native tree in our school garden by the hall to extend our school Matariki planting from last year.

The children reflected on Tupuārangi, which reminds us to care for God's creation. Together, the children committed to being kaitiaki by showing love and respect for the world God has entrusted to us.

"Let the little children come to me." Mark 10:14

As followers of Jesus, we show our love for Him by caring for His beautiful creation.

Eden 6's class liturgy reflected our St Michael's Catholic School values of Aroha, Respect, Service, and Tika, reminding us to care for one another, cherish God's creation, and honour those who have gone before us.

Our students were invited to lead the Prayers of the Faithful at John Paul College Rotorua - JPC Chapel Mass this morning. They read so beautifully!
All students and whānau are invited to join us for Mass at 8.10am on Wednesday mornings. Just let Whaea Jenny know your child is attending so we can ensure enough transport back to school after Mass 🙂

What a blessing it was to have Monsignor Antonio Figueiredo visit us from Assisi with the relics of Saint Carlo Acutis! The children were fascinated and inspired by the story of "God's influencer!" To find out more about this modern day saint, head to www.carloacutis.com
