Morena. Despite the bugs and germs making our roll today only 98 tamariki, we still managed to raise $124 for True Colours Children's Health Trust

We will be able to resume the Waharoa and Town bus runs tomorrow morning. A relief driver has been found. There are some days in the near future that the driver can't do, but we'll communicate these closer to the time :)
So all bus runs are as usual starting tomorrow morning

If you are in a position to do so, send your tamariki along with a gold coin donation to help us raise some funds to support this amazing cause! :)

Also, remember this Friday is a Teacher Only Day. No school for our Walton tamariki.

Kia ora Walton Whānau. Today I wanted to recognise the amazing effort of some Walton Akonga in their attendance. Believe it or not, Mia Roberts has achieved 100% attendance so far this year. This warranted some special treatment with a certificate and a large chocolate bar. Well done, Mia.
Additionally, six other tamariki have excelled with only 1-2 days off so far! So they too received a yummy treat for their efforts :)

At the end of the year, in our final week of school, I will be rewarding every Walton Akonga who has achieved 90% attendance or better throughout the year. We currently have 88% of our students with 85% attendance or better, so this end-of-year reward is within reach of a large majority of our tamariki :)

Of course, there are a lot of bugs and germs hitting us at the moment, so obviously keep kids at home if they're sick, but other than that, let's do a big push for awesome attendance till the end of the year! :)
