Dorie School is a vibrant, exciting full primary school catering for the educational needs of students in Years 1 – 8 with a strong roll of 80 students. At Dorie you will find 4 classrooms, a well-stocked library, a newly built administration block, a resource/learning centre and storerooms. We also have a great adventure playground, two tennis courts and a swimming pool. There is an extensive ope

n playing field. The facilities at Dorie are modern, well resourced and maintained. ICT has a strong focus, each classroom equipped with an Apple TV and a good supply of networked computers, laptops and iPads.

We are very appreciative for the $500 cheque presented by RuralCo and sponsored by Canterbury Motorcycles- Rakaia.
Each month, Ruralco members have the chance to support local schools in their community. By simply using their Ruralco Card, members receive one entry for every 10 transactions, giving them the opportunity to nominate a school to receive a $500 cheque.
Alister & Mary Sprott, the July 2026 winners, chose to nominate Dorie School. Alister and Mary had children at school many years ago when the roll was down at 12 students!
