What a privilege to attend the official opening of our newly refurbished Skills Institute Wiri campus yesterday. ❤️
It was incredibly special to see the investment that has gone into creating such an inspiring environment for our learners and our wider South Auckland community.
Education has the power to create opportunities, change lives and strengthen communities -and I’m very proud to be part of an organisation committed to doing exactly that.
A wonderful milestone for Skills Institute and everyone involved. 🌸

What an absolute honour it was to be a judge for the 2026 The Real Estate Institute of New Zealand Awards for Excellence. ❤️
Being part of the judging process and having the opportunity to recognise the incredible people within our industry was such a privilege. There is so much talent, passion, commitment and excellence across real estate in New Zealand, and it was wonderful to play a small part in celebrating that.
A huge congratulations to all of this year’s finalists — what an achievement! 👏✨
I cannot wait to be part of the celebrations at the REINZ Awards Gala Dinner on 15 September.
And if you haven’t got your ticket yet… I’d be getting onto it! 😉🥂
See you there! ❤️

I’m honoured to be judging The Real Estate Institute of New Zealand Awards for the second year in a row.

Property management is a profession that requires resilience, leadership, sound judgement and a genuine commitment to people. These awards provide an important opportunity to recognise the individuals and teams who are making a real difference for their clients, customers, communities and the wider profession.

As a judge, I’m looking for entries that combine outstanding achievement with authenticity. The strongest submissions clearly demonstrate not only what has been accomplished, but also the thinking, commitment and measurable impact behind the results. It is also about seeing evidence of professional integrity, innovation, continuous improvement and a genuine commitment to people.

I feel very privileged to play a small part in recognising the outstanding work happening across our profession, and I look forward to celebrating the people and achievements helping to move property management forward.

I’m also looking forward to connecting with Duncan Abbott and working alongside him throughout the judging process. It will be a privilege to bring our combined experience and perspectives to recognising excellence across the property management profession.

Make sure you secure your tickets and join us in celebrating the people and achievements that continue to strengthen our industry

Skills Group has released a really important white paper "Multiple Pathways to Success"exploring how New Zealand better supports young people transitioning from school into further education and employment.
One message really stood out to me - we already know what works, but too many students still can’t access it.
Creating clearer vocational and work-integrated pathways gives young people more opportunity, direction, and confidence for their future.

A must-read white paper for educators, parents and policy-makers: Why most young people miss out on structured pathways beyond school Today Skills Group released Multiple Pathways to Success – an extensively researched white paper looking at how well New Zealand’s education system supports young...
