🌿 Wellbeing Week nearly Here! (31st August – 4th September)

Week 7 is all about settling those nerves, taking a deep breath, and focusing on self-care using the 5 Ways to Wellbeing.

Here is what we’ve got lined up for you each day:

Mindfulness Monday (Connect): Join us in the library for relaxing mindfulness activities.

Treat Tuesday (Give): Show appreciation by writing gratitude cards for your favorite teachers.

Wellness Wednesday (Be Active): Burn off some stress with Just Dance in the gym at lunch!

Teddytastic Friday (Keep Learning): Bring your favorite teddy to school for a best-teddy competition! (Gold coin donation)

We have been monitoring the level of staff absences, specifically due to sickness over the past few weeks.

Due to a high level of staff illness, there will be no timetabled classes for Year 13 students for period 4 today. Year 13 students will finish their day at the end of period 3. This will allow the teachers who would normally have a Year 13 class to cover other classes. For those students who catch school buses the library/pataka area will be available for study.

This is not a decision that was made lightly, and has only been made when all other options have been exhausted.

Congratulations to our amazing dancers who placed in the Dance NZ Made Regional solo competition last night. We had great results, and they are now moving on to Nationals!

- Lucy Blundell – Year 9 Solo: 2nd Place
- Poppy Gordon Grosby – Year 10 Solo: Champion (1st Place)
- Alannah Duguid – Year 11 Solo: 3rd Place

All the best to our four teams performing tonight at the Lower Hutt Town Hall. They are competing in the 7:45 PM session. Tickets can be purchased here: https://www.trybooking.com/nz/event/20378
