If you’ve been feeling in your head a lot lately, these have been helping me come back to the present:

1. Come back into your body. Notice your feet on the ground, relax your jaw, take a slower breath.

2. Do one thing at a time?(a genuine struggle for me). When you’re eating, just eat. When someone’s talking, just listen. It sounds simple and obvious, and yet...

3. Notice without attaching story. Instead of jumping to “this is good” or “this is annoying,” just notice what’s there. “I feel tense” or “my mind is busy.” And let it be exactly as it is.

Maybe practice one of these tomorrow?

You don’t have to reside in the present moment, just visit it more from time to time.

At the beginning of every Lighthouse call, I guide the group through mindfulness. It doesn’t guarantee total relaxation every time, but it does gently turn us towards the present moment. Transitioning from work/mum/doing mode into this time that is completely for you.

Lighthouse is a 12-week group coaching program designed to help you understand yourself more deeply. Your thoughts, your emotions, your patterns, your values.

The goal is simple. To help you trust yourself, set clear boundaries, and make decisions that actually feel aligned.

We start September 28th.

This tends to be a good fit if you:

✨ Overthink everything and second-guess yourself

✨Feel stuck between who you are and who you want to be

✨ Know you want more, but can’t seem to move forward

✨ Are always doing, achieving, producing, but struggle to slow down and actually feel

Early bird is $1,499 NZD. This finishes end of August, after that it goes up to $1,999 (payment options are available).

No matter what, I will not let my heart harden.

Do you know how easy it is to build a 10 foot high brick wall around your heart when someone hurts you?

Do you know how natural it is to want to withhold love when you’ve been hit with so much pain?

Do you know how fu***ng brave it is to stay soft?

To continue to trust, to open up, to be vulnerable, to love again, to believe in the inherent goodness of all.

That s**t ain’t for the weak.

But if I’ve got one lifetime, then I choose to live and love fully.

This doesn’t mean I’ll believe blindly and let people walk all over me.

Certainly not.

I will take the wisdom from the pain of past relationships, but leave the bitterness.

My intuition and integrity is stronger than ever before, and I can trust in that to guide me.

I will hold my boundaries stronger than ever.

But as Mark Groves said, boundaries are doors not walls.

I will always choose love. I will keep my heart pure and hold the belief that there are so many wonderful, trustworthy, loving people out there.

Taking the time to know and love myself is what has lead me to be strong enough to be soft.

I want to teach others to do the same.
