Jubilee Day Two 🎉

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us today! It was a fantastic start to our Jubilee celebrations, and we loved reconnecting with so many of you. The weather was perfect, and we hope you enjoyed the day as much as we did.

Tomorrow, we continue our celebrations, beginning with Jubilee Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Church with Bishop John. Please ensure you are seated by 10:00am. Following the Mass, we will have the cutting of the Jubilee cake and a blessing of our new school signage.

From 12:00pm, guests are welcome to join us for activities and games with our students. The children are so excited to share this part of the day with you, and we’re looking forward to spending some time outside in this beautiful weather!

At 1:30pm, we will gather for a shared lunch, with additional food provided for registered guests. This will be followed by performances from our Kapa Haka and Pasifika groups at 2:15pm.

To wrap up the celebrations, join us back at the school from 5:00pm for our Meet & Greet evening. This has a cost of $30 per person and includes one free drink and light nibbles. Live music will be performed by Amy & Dave, and a cash bar will be available for additional alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Please note that this is an R18 event. Classrooms will also be open from 5:00pm to 6:00pm for those who wish to explore the school.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the coffee cart will no longer be at school today. However, we will be serving hot drinks, and cold drinks will be available for purchase. Thanks for your understanding!

The 75th Jubilee Kicks Off Tomorrow! 🎉
We can't believe the big day is almost here! Our 75th Jubilee celebrations start tomorrow, and we can’t wait to welcome you all!
We will start the day with a pōwhiri at 12:00pm, a beautiful way to open our two days of celebrations together. We ask that all guests and visitors meet at the front of the school before hand and we will be invited in by Rangitane Iwi. After the pōwhiri, a light lunch will be provided for guests before the afternoon activities begin.

Following this, from 1:15pm, our classrooms will be open, giving you the chance to explore, catch up with old friends, chat with our staff, and spend time with our wonderful students. This is a great opportunity to see how our school has grown while sharing memories of your time here.

At 2:30pm, our Kapa Haka and Pasifika groups will perform in the hall. These talented students have been practicing hard, and we are incredibly proud of them.

For the afternoon, the school will remain open until 5:30 pm, allowing plenty of time to wander the grounds, visit classrooms, and reconnect with fellow past and present members of the OLOL community.

Our Lady of Lourdes School to celebrate 75 years The Palmerston North school is holding a two-day celebration in February.

We’re so lucky to have Nicole from Hello Sunshine Espresso joining us this Thursday with her coffee cart! She’ll have a range of delicious hot and cold drinks to keep us refreshed throughout the day. We’re so excited to have her as part of our Jubilee celebration! ☕✨

You can usually find Nicole opposite Briscoes on Cuba Street, so be sure to check her out and support her amazing coffee!
