π₯¦ Go, Grow & Glow with Taiao! π
As part of our Health Unit this term, Room 8,9 and 10 (Taiao) has been learning all about Go, Grow & Glow foods and how they fuel our bodies. πββοΈπ±β¨
To put our learning into action, we wrote persuasive letters to Nick, sharing our ideas on how we can improve what students are allowed to bring to school as brain food. We convinced him to make some brain food changes for our kura! ππ§

Our Chalk Mural Afternoon was a fantastic way to celebrate our whole-school reward! βοΈπ¨ Our tamariki soaked up the sunshine, let their creativity flow, and enjoyed plenty of Rekareka as they created together.
There was also plenty of Kotahitanga on display as we came together and celebrated as one kura. ππ
What a colourful afternoon of creativity, connection and fun! β¨

Wenerei Wow!
A huge congratulations to Dominic, who has achieved his Yellow Belt in Karate!
At Russell Street School, we love seeing our tamariki demonstrating our values beyond the classroom. Dominic has shown wairua by using determination and grit and panekiretanga by striving for excellence.

Check out these Hockey superstars. This is our Y3/4 Kiwi team (missing Faelan & Jacob M). They were unbeaten all season and we are so grateful for the commitment of Hadley - their dedicated coach. Ka rawe koutou.

Yesterday was Te RΔ o Tumeke Tumuaki (National Principal's Day) and HeiTiki (room 1a and 1b) celebrated our awesome Nick by delivering a giant chocolate fish and some of his favourite treats! He loves the handmade signed chocolate fish and chatting with all of HeiTiki because they were all showing his No 1 Value Whakawhanaungatanga!
